Dick Dastardly and Muttley with sick laughter…
COMING SOON!!!!!!

clear your plans for Friday evening…
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
No commentsCool Runnings…
I’m not sure why movies like that are made (nor will it be showing at Extra Butter anytime soon), but what I am sure of…is that Adidas is setting things off correct for the ’08 with the first release from their “Sounds of the City” campaign – which celebrates the birthplace of influential music genres.
The first stop – Kingston, Jamaica…the home of the legendary Bob Marley’s record label – Tuff Gong Records.
The first Pro Model features an imprint of a Kingston shield on a buttery soft, nubuck upper. And obviously…a highly detailed design on the tongue.

The Tuff Gong Pro Model is full of features including full leather insoles & collar lining, canvas upper, Tuff Gong imprint on tongue & eyestay, speckled outsole, and the Tuff Gong logo on the tongue tag, midsole, and lace lock.

More from the Adidas “Sounds of the City” pack to come….
Also in: The Adidas ZXZ 123 (women’s/girl’s sizes) – the star perforations and color fades are 1,000x nicer in person.

Thanks for staying up….

No commentsWhen we hug these mics we get busy!!
A week or so back we posted the initial arrival of the Holiday Mighty Healthy delivery, and I’m here to inform you the rest has arrived!!

For the people out there unwilling to do your research, (probably people not reading on here to begin with) Mighty Healthy gets it’s name from a Ghostface Killah song by the same name, off the album “Supreme Clientele” (do those names sound familiar??). The album dropped in February, 2000 and instantly provided hip-hop heads with that off the wall Wu-sound everyone at the time was starving for.

Since then Mighty Healthy has consistently put out clothing that truly embodies New York City street & hip-hop culture.
Two of my very favorite designs from past years… (references: Raekwon and Ghost’s – “Incarcerated Scarfaces” & “Virginia is for lovers” slogan.)

For the ’08 Mighty Healthy stays feeding us with fresh and storied designs that still resonate with the not-so-older generation and simultaneously appeals to the young bucks of our future.
Mighty Healthy All-Star tee – 3m reflective ink

This next one – Happy Devils, brought up bittersweet memories of listening to the radio when it was actually good, and the days of the pause-mix tapes. I’m thankful to have saved couple shoe boxes full of old cassettes for those days where Mister’s Cee’s “Throwback at Noon” just isn’t enough….

New York to the core…

And the timing of this one is great, considering the dismal season. This tee entitled “New Yoke” is already a fave amongst the large conglomerate of people that have turned their back on the Knickerbockers or at this point would rather have Oak, Mase, and MAYBE Starks back running New York.
(youtube search – Reggie Miller 6 points in 8 seconds for an amazingly painful/pleasing viewing)

And last – some Long Island infamy…. (google search: Amy Fisher or Joe Buttafuoco)

1 comment“Y’all play the rear, this whole year, MY YEAR!!”
“…metal face beard like brillo pad, y’all know his steelo so don’t feel so bad”
Nothing like start off the new year with a line from the Metal Face villain.
The new year couldn’t start off any better…I start the day with the good folks at Puma, where I finally got to dissect the shoes that left jaws dropped when they debuted at the “Runway” show about a month ago.
Sexy heat for the ladies with these new 1st Round Hi’s….

Cardboard stuffing does this no justice – just wait.
I get back to the arrival of some new Nikes…
Women’s Dunk Low

Women’s Court Force Hi – Rekquiem and Farrah Faye already drooled over these!!

and then these Vivid Blue AM 90′s…it features the ever popular mesh toebox and I’m sorry but my boy Bam already flossed this as buttery as possible.

To quote Grandmaster Caz in the documentary “Just for Kicks” – “That —- ain’t no accident, the —– put thought into his gear”.
And if you haven’t realized it by now… there’s always something exciting going on at Extra Butter, so we start off the new year with another “After Hours” session. Bam, myself, and local b-boys from Tru Breakerz.

Troubles catching a freeze.

3 hours later…

Shouts to everyone for coming through and providing serious smoothness on the floors!!
’08 = takeover. don’t sleep. stay smooth.
