Here’s my ballot…I haven’t seen enough of the contenders but like always I definitely think there’s been some snubbery. “Juno“, “There Will Be Blood“, and “No Country for Old Men” were my favorites of the year, but I encourage you to check out David Cronenberg’s (“Spider”, “History of Violence”) “Eastern Promises” & Noah Baumbach’s (“Squid and the Whale”) “Margot at the Wedding“.

And as for performances…I have the most issues with both parents from “Juno” (J.K. Simmons & Allison Janney), and Paul Dano from “There Will Be Blood” being left out. As good as Daniel Day-Lewis is, this kid was disturbingly good. We’ll have screenings for my 3 faves above once they’re available – be on the lookout for that.
