The guy’s my new hero…along with the entire Giants team. I don’t recall another sports story as multi-faceted and historic as this one. Continue to soak this up Giants fans…Patriots haters…it’s deserved. Told you ’08 would be monumental….

Adidas Women’s Grace Mid

For fans of the former 4th pick overall – Chris Paul – have a dream in New Orleans with the Sounds of the City edition Adidas Pro Model. This one took me back to my visit there a couple years ago…..big bands in the street, amazing jambalaya, muffalettas, and lots of beignets.

The shoe says it all. Jazz legends such as Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, and Miles Davis all put out classic jazz essentials through Blue Note records. Even with the print and the highly detailed graphic on the tongue (a must see in person), the shoe remains as jazzy fresh and clean as can be.

Also got a fresh lemon colored Top 10 Low with matching hoody – both glow in the dark.

In the background is the Kiser “Double Barrell” Hoody. We also got in a few more tees from Kiser….

Let’s face it, the culture is more mainstream than you care to admit…and while most people nowadays are into sneakers for the current “lifestyle” and “exclusivity”, for me and many others…it started with sport.

The retro market is what it is today due to  people idolizing athletes like Bo Jackson, Andre Agassi, and Michael Jordan growing up and holding onto that feeling of being able to rock the very same kicks their favorite athletes wore as they dominated their respective sport. Perhaps a bit lost in the shadows cast by today’s mega-sneaker culture is the current athletes creating a new history and legacy that will hopefully hold strong years down the line.

The one athlete I believe with the greatest potential of reaching that lofty plateau is the King – Lebron James. The Zoom Lebron V features a ton of details that tell the story of a man who’s telling the story of an NBA King.

While the sneaker contains many tasty details such as  responsive zoom air for the better feel of the floor feeling, detailed midfoot strap, flex grooves, carbon fiber,and perforated diamond quilted tongue…the absolute standout is the introduction of Phyposite technology.

Phyposite is the combination of foamposite and phylon. The Zoom Lebron V’s phyposite shell provides the rigid durable protection and support while the phylon foam make up gives the shoe a flexible and lightweight feel to avoid feeling clunky.

Looking forward to see how else we see the phyposite used on future sneakers and also how well the Zoom Lebron V will rank amongst is 4 preceding peers, and all the ones to follow.
