Originally out in 1985 - the Nike Terminator is back with Nike’s superior vintage treatment. A dirty yellowing midsole, mis-stitching in the heel tab, glue stains, creases, and dusty outsoles have been added to the Terminator’s already standout features such as the soft cotton laces, star-print outsole around the toecap, and of course the large NIKE letters on the back, completing the full throwback effect (oh and not to mention the old school box).

And despite their lack of presence in the current NCAA tournament - we have the Nike Terminator (Vintage) in both original Georgetown and St. John’s colorways…

Inspired by Michael’s hiatus from basketball and stint as a baseball player with the Chicago White Sox/Birmingham Barons. The debate over which colorway is better has yet to stop….both are available in adults and kids sizes.

So to the readers loyal to the Butter Blog you may remember this post when I shed some light on Dr. Romanelli and his collaborative work with Fruition and Converse. The Converse has arrived, and the highly intricate details are a must-see in person. Full Dr. Romanelli artwork on the inner lining, insole, and on the outsole which is showcased through the translucent bottom. The bandaids puff out and the leather treatment overall couldn’t be more buttery.

Whether you’re down with Product (RED) and their fight against AIDS or just a fan of the magnificent work of Dr. Romanelli….definitely give these All Stars some serious thought…

Now showing: Vans VAULT…a range of Vans footwear for select boutiques/retailers. This season Vans Vault delivers “a variety of colors and textures inspired by nature, art, and counter-culture movement of skateboarding and surfing.” Ultimately the collection shows off Vans’ ability to finesse progressive designer textiles on classic Vans silhouettes.

There’s also a new shoe - Mt. High LX which is sure to be a future Vans favorite, bringing a little more personality to the high top family where the SK8 Hi dominates. The fat velcro strap in the forefoot is my favorite part.

Another Authentic - this time making use of a piazza wool making for a fine Spring blend. Don’t be scared to try these, they look super good with shorts.

And remember last year or so when Vans collaborated with Marc Jacobs and made everyone’s jaws drop. This time around they work with one of Britain’s top-tier designers - Paul Smith. Check his signature Paul Smith stripes on the Chukka Boot and Era.

Several years after buying the original “Problem Solvers” tee, I’m overly proud to bring 10 Deep to Extra Butter. This season - 10 Deep’s collection “The Champion Life” references the high life, fraternity culture, secret societies, and vintage Ralph Lauren design. “School Daze” & “The Skulls” have been favorites playing on the screen all week.

The collection is super high quality and a must-see in person. Thank you to everyone for coming down to the formal we had Thursday night…
