The year 1987 saw the Giants beat the Broncos in the Superbowl, Guns & Roses release legendary album “Appetite for Destruction”, the arrival of vis-air in the now classic Air Max 1, and this movie which is the latest to keep me from sleep.

Glenn Close plays “Alex Forest” and definitely ranks up there with creepiest females of our time…not sure how she lost the Academy Award to Cher. Although she’s a definitely a rival as far as creepiness, there’s no shot anyone could have beat out Glenn Close’s performance. Her ability to master violent outbursts, silent rage, and awkward smiles that were skin crawling actually made me think back to Heath Ledger’s “Joker”. (High 5 to anyone who photoshops that idea for me)

Anyway - just a quick flick recommendation to keep you busy, or in my case - distraction from another Amazin’ Mess collapse.

Sunday evening we got a chance to catch up with our folks at VLNY - Happy birthday Omar. Not enough pictures to do justice to the beauty of our super photo-hero Angelica’s apt. rooftop, but what a gorgeous night…and keep that evil eye out for some new VILLAINY.

In the even later hours we met up with Doug a.k.a. Young Sweta to celebrate his birthday also at his label mate Wale’s show at S.O.B.’s…. perfect timing with us listening to the Wale x 10 Deep mix on heavy rotation.

Skillz threw down with Talib Kweli showing up… the legendary Jazzy Jeff was also a pleasure to see on the wheels.

Wale tore it down, his band is insane…can’t wait for the album.
