The Jones Beach Air Force 1 Premium quickstrikes are here.  One of Long Island’s favorite attractions get celebrated on a crispy clean Air Force 1. A rare appearance of sand colored canvas mixed with tonal seaweed/beach landscape print makes up the bulk of the upper. The shoe also features an extra set of “soft blue” laces, a print of Long Island that peeks out from under the translucent ice blue sole, “Strong Island” insignia printed on the LI graphic insole, and the smooth leather Jones Beach Tower tongue tag.

These shoes release this Friday, July 3rd – just in time for the festivities…

Jay and I have been anxiously waiting for these to come in ever since Andrew from 3Sixteen extended us the special order. I was even more anxious considering Jay has actually seen these 3Sixteen x Quoddy Deck Chukkas in person before he ordered them! I could expect no less then superb quality with these hand sewn beauties.  With not many brands exploring the collaboration possibilities of classic American footwear brands, Quoddy was a perfect choice to compliment 3Sixteen’s new aesthetic and direction. Above, you can see when we opened the box we were welcomed with a thick piece of leather etched with both brand names. Totally handsewn, full leather vamp, antique brass eyelets, and lock stitching, it’s all about the details.

I know I’m sounding repetitive but I can’t get over how nice these things are. Quality is straight butter!!

So after indulging in our love for ice cream and the ONLY NY Summer collection, we headed to Long Beach for another adventure with one of  dearest loves…selvage denim. If you aren’t in the know about selvage denim…come through and Alex will school you thoroughly!

Alex and the rest of the “Selvage Warriors” – Evicurean, Rane, and RJ…took a plunge into the water to get a healthy salt water wash. What they were looking to achieve were some “epic” effects, results, evolution in abrasive salt water that also prevents indigo loss and shrinkage (a yo!).

The best part about this – cops talked to us twice telling us to leave (which we were in the process of doing), while Rane and Alex stayed in the water soaking it up and wondering what the cops were talking to us about. Well here it is…
