Air Jordan Sixty Plus, AJF4 LS, plus more…

July 31st, 2009 | Category: New Arrivals

The AJF 4 LS release is also part of the same “Do the Right Thing” campaign, and could not have been a better fit. The shoe is significant for it’s cameo appearance in the classic Spike Lee film.

Another AJF 4 gets done up in the more understated, yet refined “military blue” colorway – also part of the original AJ 4 series.

The Air Jordan Sixty Plus in all of it’s classic black/red glory has arrived as well…take a look at the meanness…

Also making a return is the PHLY Legend Premier, smoothed out in some buttery leather and corduroy interior.  Who’s going to crush these on campus next month?

And another Air Jordan 1, that’s blacked out with an interesting mix of mesh, ostrich and exotic leather.

Girls Jordan Sixty Plus

July 29th, 2009 | Category: New Arrivals

The 60+ has arrived, with the girls white/red plum/black colorway coming in first.

Following the hybrid path of the Spiz’ike and 6 Rings, the Sixty Plus highlights performances in his career where he dropped and overwhelming 60 points or more on teams. The first nod to these 60+ accomplishments was the Defining Moments Pack Air Jordan 1 pack that dropped earlier this month.

The Sixty Plus beautifully fuses design elements from the Air Jordan I, II, V, and VII legacy.

They are available now from kids sizes 4 – 7.

Look out for the men’s 60+ coming soon….

Pics from Self Edge Opening, welcome to NY! CONGRATS to Andrew (get some sleep) and the rest of 3Sixteen!! The shop is beautiful and all the goodies you previewed are still being drooled over…

**Note: Self-proclaimed “Selvage Warrior” Alex – did not wear selvage! Rane, Evan, Chase, and Roose did. Strip him of his selvage card? I think so…**

3Sixteen Hooded Henley

July 22nd, 2009 | Category: Events,New Arrivals

It’s time to get handsome…it really is. So to assist the process along with the Vans Vaults posted below (or better yet – 3Sixteen x Quoddy Deck Chukkas), we also received (with tons of excitement) a new piece from 3Sixteen to transition you into cooler evening affairs – the “Hooded Henley“.

The lightweight jersey-knit body & snap button closures at the neck and hip allow for versatility. Seersucker surrounds the closures and lines the hood trim giving the piece some slickness that seems simultaneously standout and discreet.

And with the Self Edge NY opening coming up, you’ll have just the right piece to handsome-yourself up in! (The 3Sixteen collections will be housed there each season as well!)

Vans Vault – August drops

July 21st, 2009 | Category: New Arrivals

Not gonna lie, I don’t really have the words for how dope these are right now. I’m gonna give it a shot, but between these and the latest 3Sixteen piece we got in, words that would try to do these products justice feel rather paralyzed at the moment.

Vans Vault works with an incredibly talented artist/painter/illustrator Taka Hayashi who fuses his art pieces, inspired by military surplus, 1960′s Italian-made footwear, and Native American crafts into his own original Vans styles.  Here is the No Quarter, a toughed-out militant Sk8-Hi look-a-like with details galore…

*Blogs originally received sample pics featuring an all black sole, this corrected version with the classic white Vans vulcanized sole does way better in my opinion – click the pics for more details*

Keeping things on that grown man steez – after the Vans x Proper collaboration introduced the Chukka Del Barco LX, this shoe has been high on many people’s list…it is available now in black nubuck with the butteriest of perforated leathers lining the interior.

Rane, CMarty Mar…one of you is wearing these babies to the Self Edge x 3Sixteen opening Friday aren’t you?

Vans Surf – Raglan

July 19th, 2009 | Category: New Arrivals

The EB fave – Vans Surf line returns with a new silhouette called the “Raglan”.

This unique mid-cut style comes equipped with the eco-friendly features that are a staple of the growingly popular Vans Surf collection. The super lightweight design comes with a waste-free, ultra-flexible injection-molded one piece outsole, moisture wicking anti-bacterial bamboo lining…oh and the glue and ink used are all water-based. If you’ve noticed – more and more kicks are coming out from various brands that implement various features that allow for a more eco-friendly design. This is definitely the future…

The first “wine tasting” colorway was done up by Alex Knost of the Captain Fin Co. – a D.I.Y. company that specializes in artistic hand-foiled signature fins. And you see that little magenta-colored stitch below the first eyelet, well the shoes come with a 2nd pair of laces of the same hot color.

We also brought in the Huntington Beach pro-surfer – “Timmy Reyes” colorway, which is comprised of a tough black oiled canvas. The interior is the opposite as it sports a plush black denim collar lining for comfort. Burnt orange laces is the 2nd set for this pair…

Sextra Butter RECAP

July 17th, 2009 | Category: Events

There’s been a lot of talk and rumors of a “Sextra Butter” event. The name was just too clever to pass up. Who better than Ellen Stagg to pick the movie and host this event?! Last Friday we watched Ellen’s choice 9 1/2 Weeks, directed by Adrian Lyne. A night filled with sexual cinema, flavored lube, Ellen Stagg photography slidehows accompanied by the Mishka posse, is certainly a night to remember. One of Ellen’s model’s Ariel (or Miss September for this with the Mishka calender) also escorted her to the event. Big thanks to Ellen, Mishka, and all those for coming down!

Def Jam Adidas Forum Mid RS: Young Jeezy

July 16th, 2009 | Category: New Arrivals

Introducing the first sneaker we will be receiving from the Adidas and Def Jam collaboration. This collection will mark the 25th anniversary of Def Jam Recordings. The relationship of these two names is only natural, as founder of Def Jam Russell Simmons’ family have been supporting Adidas since the origin of his brother’s group Run DMC, defined by the ode “My Adidas”. Run DMC helped form Adidas’s legacy in street fashion for the following years. In return, Run DMC received their own adidas shoe, and now Adidas welcomes newer artists from Def Jam to present themselves on Adidas sneakers. First in is Young Jeezy’s Forum Mid. The sneaker is presented in a “macaw” green and black colorway with gold accents. Featured on the side is Young Jeezy’s Eight 732 logo.

Be on the lookout for more from the Def Jam Adidas collection including Redman, Method Man, and Ghostface Killah…!
