Royal Tenenbaums Poster by Mondo Tees x Daniel Danger

Category: Now Playing...

If I had to make a list, off the top I’d say my 2nd favorite film writer/director is Wes Anderson. My favorite film from his short but stellar resume is “The Royal Tenenbaums”.

So many things stand out to me about this movie – from the Gene Hackman’s Golden Globe-winning comedic performance (Doug and I stay quoting old Royal) and the incredibly scenic way New York was shot. Or how about the unforgettable bathroom scene with Richie set to Elliot Smith’s “Needle in the Hay”, Chas’ whole family making full Adidas track suits look ill, and of course the strange, but endearing relationship between Richie and Margot Tenenbaum.

Mondo Tees worked with Daniel Danger on their own limited print rendition of the movie poster depicting one of the movies sweetest scenes.

Don’t sleep on Mondo Tees as these film-related posters and tees fly fast! There was a “Re-Animator” one that disappeared just as fast as your most hyped sneaker, and I’m assuming there are very few of the amazing “Breakfast Club” and “16 Candles” posters pictured here.

Future Father’s Day screening followed by board games, a la the Tenenbaum’s game closet…I think so!

Thanks to Justin at Mondo for hooking it up!!
