Adidas “Originals by Originals” – Jeremy Scott

February 23rd, 2010 | Category: New Arrivals

As I hinted in a tweet yesterday (yes, you must follow us), we’re ready for something different, and a lot of others are too. It’s still a relatively new year, and more then ever people seem to be looking to break the mold, try something new, and essentially evolve their style as they embark on the pursuit of this new year.

Well over here, we start at the feet. And as my return from the tradeshows in Las Vegas confirms…Adidas continues to take things to a level of their own. To expect lots more excitement to come for the rest of this year should go without saying.

What better way to start the push towards the new with an “O by O” release from world famous designer, Jeremy Scott. I was first introduced to Jeremy’s work through my friends over at Fruition, who showcased many of his pieces that left me speechless. The playful concepts and aesthetics immediately set his designs apart from the rest, making his mark as a true originator. The Adidas “O by O” moniker stands for “originals by originals”, which will offer up original footwear and apparel by original designers such as David Beckham, Kazuki, along with Jeremy Scott.

Now that you’re brought up to speed (if you weren’t already), check out the latest color of the JS Wings… the color and detail says it all…

Already owning some “JS 3 Tongues”, and Kazuki’s leopard print “Vulcanized Boot”…I couldn’t be more excited for these and much more “O by O” on the way!!

Amongst Friends Spring 2010 T-Shirts

February 18th, 2010 | Category: New Arrivals

Your first thought when looking at these photos might be “is there snow on the ground?!” Yep, that’s snow… once this new shipment arrived, we were too amped NOT to hit up the driving range in the name of Amongst Friends. We received four t-shirts, so we threw ‘em on and grabbed some clubs, and this is what happened from there…

Always on the Green: Naturally, Roose automatically picked up and purchased this t-shirt once the box was opened. For you Extra Butter trivia heads out there, here’s a hint to what one of Roose’s favorite colors might be.

af-4.jpg

Be the Ball: “I’m going to give you a little advice. There’s a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball.” A quote from the professional, Amongst Friends’ “Be the Ball” tee embodies Ty’s wisdom.

af-1.jpg

Educate: An easy spring or summer choice, and my personal favorite (probably why I wore it in the first place) is the Educate tee. Featuring a flip on the standard collegiate emblem, Amongst Friends prints this smooth scalloped design on an eco friendly tee, giving it an overall vintage aesthetic.

af-2e.jpg

Offerings: Another eco-friendly offering, Amongst Friends brings back their Offerings design on this extremely soft tee. Is there a vintage blue t-shirt in your closet right now? If not, I suggest investing in one, and here you go!

And on to the practice…

ANMLHSE has arrived!

February 17th, 2010 | Category: New Arrivals

The title above may be a bit misleading…and I’ll tell you why.

  1. While we are so thankful to all of you here who STAY checking our blog on the regular, sometimes…things don’t make it on here.  In a world already overly reliant (and as a result, somewhat jaded) on the internet…some things are just better kept as a surprise. And to be honest, this was worth holding out on as we’ve had the pieces below for a few weeks now. People who’ve come by, and yes, already bought up some sizes, were all pleasantly surprised to see us bring in a new brand – ANMLHSE!
  2. While the title says, “has arrived”, the good folks at ANMLSE have been up in EB for a minute. From our movie nights, to parties, to just talking shit and kicking it…they’ve supported us for a while, and it’s our pleasure to return the favor….not to mention, bring the brand to our people…because they’ve been asking!

While we’ll let you come in to talk to us about the anmls, (or check them for yourselves – here) I will say briefly that as indicated by their anml-aesthetic – these guys are a lot of fun! Be sure to check out their various photo projects and stay tuned for much more to come from ANMLHSE at Extra Butter.

They go all out with their photoshoots – something we relate to, and in this case, were inspired by. Here are the pieces we’ve received thus far with our own Anmlhse twist to it…

Fresh off their 2 year anniversary – expect more madness to come. Trust.

Air Max 95 Cool Grey “Neon” and Womens Skyline

February 17th, 2010 | Category: New Arrivals

An Air Max you’ve been waiting for has arrived! A retro that can never get old, the “Neon” Air Max 95 is given a re-release this year. I know we taunted you with the post we made last month for the apparel that complimented the sneakers, but don’t sweat any longer because they are in! Unfortunately the t-shirt is sold out from those preparing in advance for these, but we still have a size or two left in the windbreaker, so you know what to do… By the way, both men and kids sizes available, we got ya covered. *Releasing 2/27*

More pictures of the windbreaker here.

And for the ladies, we just got in this Nike Skyline. Comprised of a medium blue fade to white mesh, red patent leather swoosh, and metallic silver throughout, I would have to say this makes for one of the top spring sneaker choices.

Air Jordan 2 Retro Silver Anniversary

February 16th, 2010 | Category: New Arrivals

Following the outrageous collection of previous Silver 25th Anniversary goods, the Air Jordan II makes its debut. These feature an exceptionally soft and padded 3M reflective tongue along with the II’s signature faux lizard skin side panel, but this time coated with plastic making for a smooth side with a little extra sheen. A serious colorway for the II’s, I’m glad that Jordan Brand has brought ‘em back for the occasion!

Air Jordan 1 Alpha – Tinker Hatfield

February 15th, 2010 | Category: New Arrivals

So far, what I’ve been calling the most comfortable shoe of the year – the Air Jordan 1 Alpha comes out in a special “Tinker Hatfield” quickstrike release. Tinker Hatfield is the legendary Nike sneaker designer responsible for just about the illest catalog of kicks you can possibly imagine. Name a few of your favorite sneakers ever, maybe even some holy grails, and I’m sure Tinker’s had his input on a good amount of them.

This new AJ 1 Alpha is comprised of a truly smooth birch colored leather, with the comfy collar lining padding in a bright orange.

We also decided to throw some purple laces in it to give the kicks a different look. Another way to go would be to pay tribute to the Air Mowabb, another legendary Tinker Hatfield design with a close resemblance in colorway to this Air Jordan 1 Alpha.
