Last month we had the honor of partying with Sneaker Freaker’s own crazy Aussie – MAFIA!

DJ’s Mick Boogie, Terry Urban, and Matt Heckman all held the crowd down with incredible sets, but still leaving room for Mafia to get behind the wheels and spin her own madness.

It’s Bam’s birthday today…WEOOOOOOOOOW! We surprised him Tuesday night by showing up at the Mets game – he was already there with Bree when we bombarded the place.

Oh and by the way…Shake Shack is official, the Mets beat Philly 8-0 (and continued to shut out sweep the next 2 games), and we went nuts chanting “Let’s Go Mets!” the whole way out…HAPPY BIRTHDAY BERN GULLY!

Guess whats back! The highly esteemed, highly sought after Jones Beach, Long Island inspired Air Force 1′s. After our official pics hit the net the hype became exponential and were excited that they’re back! A sand colored canvas upper is met with a seaweed patterned heel panel and sits softly upon a white mid-sole with an ice blue bottom featuring the map of Long Island. The shoe also has the Jones Beach navigation coordinates just below the heel tab as well as the Jones Beach lighthouse on the tongue tag. For those of you that were not able to get them last summer, your second chance has come. Be prepared this time around though, because these are sure to fly out on their release date of June 4th, 2010.

Designed by Future Sole contest winner Austin Jermacan the Melo M6 is the newest addition to the Carmelo Anthony footwear franchise. For those unfamiliar with the Future Sole Competition, it is a platform for young designers to enter their own footwear designs in the hopes of selection and actual production by Jordan Brand. Austin’s design was selected amongst thousands of entries for the 2009 competition and finally his creation will release this Saturday, May 29th 2010. I tried them on just before I blogged this post, and they’re incredibly comfortable. The shoe is super lightweight, cushy, supportive, and if I did actually play basketball instead of fantasizing about what it would be like to play in the NBA, this is the shoe I would play in.

The final installment in the most recent Spizike series, this release takes design inspiration from the Air Jordan XX (20) “Stealth”. Comprised of the same color palette and textures, the Spizike’s upper consists of black patent leather with a few hits of grey and varsity red.

The shoes retail for $175.00 and for those matchy-matchy types you can pick up a matching Mars Blackmon t-shirt with the same graphic as the retro-card seen above.
