SneakerCon Recap
SneakerCon was this past Saturday – just wanted to share some photos from the event and thank the fellas at SneakerNews for having us down!
Tons of people and sneakers…wet dream for some, overwhelming to others. Solid turnout though and lots of fresh kicks…

Like these. I’m not an Air Force guy, I only own 1 pair…but I am filipino, and should have never past on these when they first came out and they were just sitting there at GDFT, Montreal. I don’t have too many regretted pass ups….but this is surely one of them.

Flight Lites were one of my things as a kid. I liked to ball in them and squish the foamy parts that are carved out on the mid-sole. I’ve never seen this color which was kind of craze…

This was the best table there in my opinion. OG heat for days. A nice change from the typical Jordans, Air Max’s, and SB’s I saw dominating most tables and carried amongst the attendees. Nothing wrong with all of that, but this table offered a dope variety that provided a bit of true nostalgia. Not the type that’s reminisced about, yet they only dropped 5 years ago.

Like these…welcome to Mr. Robinson’s Neighborhood! These were my size too…this is one I hope Nike retros and I think they eventually will. I never got them when I was a kid, instead I had an Admiral jacket by Chalkline. The ad campaign for these were some of Nike’s finest.

What you know about Spot Bilt? You’ll know soon enough. But these are a gem…taking me back to the days of Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott, and of course Joe Montana. Giants version of these anyone???

I was never into the Kaws craze, but pretty cool collection from Toy Tokyo.

This is T. He calls us everyday. EVERY DAY! Haha it’s all good though, we see the passion, and I see my 2nd favorite Met of all time… Daaaaaaaaa-ryllllllllllll. Please someone get me this jersey – grey color also accepted.

Everybody loves stickersssss

Back to the shoes. I wore these Adidas Jeremy Scott 3-tongues. Adidas was there showcasing some goodies due out later this summer. I decided to be a pal and snap some photos for you to see some of what’s in store for you! Click on the “read more” below to get an exclusive look at some of the Adidas “O by O” Fall releases…

No commentsWomen’s Vans Authentic Lo Pro and E-Street
Girls…these 2 new Vans couldn’t be any easier for you to rock this summer. The Authentic Lo Pro is a classic Vans profile that’s dipped in a light purple acid wash, for a fresh vintage look.
The E-Street is from the Vans Surf collection and has been very well received with the mens colors we brought in so far. This “deep taupe” colorway for ladies is just a no-brainer. And if you haven’t tried on the comfy-ness that this shoe brings, you’re in for a treat!

2 commentsJune Nike Nike Nike
You might remember a similar pair of cotton-canvas Nike Dunks that dropped in April, which turned out to be one of the most popular Nike’s in the shop. It was even hard for customers to resist picking up both pairs, some couldn’t resist! Canvas is definitely an eye-catcher when applied to signature Nike sneakers and is the prime-material for footwear this spring/summer. Featured below is the Dunk High with the Lyon Blue cotton-canvas (chambray-esque?) with true seersucker side panels. Accompanying it is the Dunk Low with Baroque Brown cotton-canvas covering the whole body, with gingham lined on the inside.

Next is this Dunk High Premium, featuring two grey tones and a Lucky Green accent on the tongue tag, swoosh and outsole to top it off. Add premium leather and mesh lining and you have a pair of solid Nike Dunks.

Next is the Pepper Low, one of the more simple Nike’s you’ll come across. As a very versatile and easy silhouette, this should be an easy option for those looking for an everyday summer sneaker. If you look closely, you’ll notice a printed parallel pattern adds a nice touch of dimension. Gold eyelets and a Gucci-like green insole with gold/red print also add to an overall simple shoe. Ah, and vibrant red bottoms not pictured (shout to Louboutin).

Concluding this post is the Nike 6.0 Mavrk in low-top form. A staple to the 6.0 family, we felt the need to introduce it with a Matte Silver colorway with the Mean Green accents. Not a bad price too for $60!

1 commentHouse of the Devil – Netflix this!
Or just buy it…if you’re the type to creep yourself out over and over. Either way it is 1First Quality1…

The movie is “House of the Devil” (2009) by Ti West. I don’t enjoy writing a brief synopsis of the movies I watch. I would rather (perhaps selfishly) share some basic, and sometimes not so basic, feelings I get from the viewings. Plus, you can find info on what a movie is about everywhere else. I doubt this will be the format I stick to in sharing my support or distaste for films I see, but just wanted to advocate for this quick and simple.
Likes: The 70′s-ish style in which this film was shot, the entire suspenseful pace, the use of sounds to make me tense, and the roles of Mr. and Mrs. Ulman, whom I found completely unnerving.
Dislikes: Walking around my own house after the movie in paranoia. Not having chosen this film for a prior EB movie night.
So check it out or check in and let us know what you think if you do see it or have seen it.

No commentsAir Jordan 2010 “Blackout” and Flight 9 “Black/Cement”
The newest Air Jordan 2010 just hit, and this is one of our favorites here. I’ll refrain from that now very annoying Jay-Z line, because you all get it by now. Nothing tricky about these – nicknamed the “Blackout”.

We also got the first hit of Flight 9′s. Very similar styling to the Jordan 4, this non-retro is already receiving healthy praise. You do know why they used the #9 right??

2 commentsNike All Court – Quickstrike
Something a little different from the swoosh, Nike brings you a basic lowtop in the style of the “All Court”. The look takes a cue from the famed Jack Purcell toecap tooling.
The “midnight navy” pair comes in a classy canvas with sewn label at the top and retails at $75.

The “birch” pair is a creme-ish colorway that comes in a plush and buttery suede. Both pairs coat your foot with comfort as the insides are lined with terrycloth material. Mmmm…
