World Basketball Festival NYC – Part 2
Here are some other things I had the pleasure of doing during my NYC stay for the WBF…
The hardcore NBA fans are familiar with my man Kevin Durant right here. I have to admit, it was hard to like the guy at first considering I’m a Blazers fan (we picked Oden instead). But, this truly one of the brightest young stars in the NBA today and has a nice young nucleus in Oklahoma City that looks to be making noise for many upcoming seasons.
Check this short video clip where I asked him about his favorite kicks…

Rucker Park was just incredible – this was after halftime of the Brazil vs. Puerto Rico exhibition game.

After the Team USA inter-squad exhibition game….HOVAAAA!

Rondo is a terror on the court, love watching this kid play, especially during playoff time.

Updates on the Jay-Z x Nike Air Force 1 “All Black Everything” charity auction…

New York’s new king – Amare! Nice of him to come up in front of the crowd to do an interview. Most of the other players in attendance did as well….*most.

Before Jay-Z came on they had an amazing reel of classic Nike commercials playing on the big screen. What would it take for them to release a DVD of that stuff….pure gold.

Look who was hosting, Kool Bob Lova aka DJ Cucumber Slice aka Bobbito! Maybe hosting isn’t the right word…straight up tearing into the players, having the crowd LOL-ing, and offering his skills to the Puerto Rico squad might be more accurate.

Also headed to Niketown to see some pretty sick displays and well…Kobe Bryant. Interesting how much warmer the response seems to be towards him these days.

And on the final day…we destroyed France.

Got one last interesting post of interesting stuff for later on tonight or tomorrow…
