Adidas ObyO Luker by Neighborhood Superstar 80′s White
Following up on the previous post of the Luker by Neighborhood Adidas collection, we present the white version of the Superstar 80′s. The clean white holds up an appealing contrast to the cream sole and shell-toe. The minimal Luker aesthetic is complimented with small hits of branding such as the collaborative insignia on the heel. Just as the black flew out the first time (we had to re-up), I’d make sure to get these while you can!

2 commentsAdidas ObyO – JS License – Jeremy Scott
Say what you want, but I absolutely love the how polarized opinions are when it comes to Jeremy Scott’s designs. A true innovator in my opinion, but far over the top to others – his work is guaranteed to provoke reaction.
A new shoe to the Jeremy Scott ObyO arsenal, the “JS License” just arrived after months of waiting and stalking since blogs leaked photos of this shoe several months ago. Coast to coast flavor is the route or opposition with New York and Beverly Hills license plates sitting prominently atop the tongue. The super cushioned, mega-padded tongue. Large classic trefoil logo on the back, this is already a modern Adidas classic.

Here’s the last of the footage…the majority of the photos are of the “Make Something” experience, which was probably the best thing I saw the entire trip. It is located on Bowery and Houston, and I don’t think it’s open to the public, but if you can weasel your way in there, I highly suggest doing so.
Nike, Air Jordan, and Converse teamed up with artists Aaron Rose, Eric Elms, Carrie Mundane (Cassette Playa), Todd Selby, DJ A-trak, and others on creating this space that gave teenagers from the NY area a truly unique experience. The artists conducted workshops, teaching the kids a variety of creative acitivities such as music editing, sign painting, poster drawing, plus clothing and sneaker design!
The space was littered with all the artwork and some actual products were sampled and produced as well, such as the Nike Destroyer Varsity Jackets, Converse All-stars, and Nike Hyperdunks.
The kids worked on a unique hybrid shoe that fused sneaker elements from the Nike, Jordan, and Converse brand…truly one of a kind.

1 commentAir Jordan Alpha 1 Outdoor “C.C. Sabathia”
Ruth, DiMaggio, Gehrig, Mantle, Jackson. The Yankees have had a long history of great players in their storied franchise. Down the line this man will be in the same sentence as these greats. For all you Yankee fans out there Jordan Brand came out with the C.C Sabathia Alpha 1 Outdoor. The Jordan Brand really did a nice job with this one. Made of a reflective upper this lightweight sneaker is perfect for the outside courts. The strap on the sneaker is for ideal ankle support. It also has 27 tallies on the sneaker referencing the amount of Championships the Yankees have won over the years. Another great part is the collective keychain with the number 52 that C.C. wears. These are available now.

Here are some other things I had the pleasure of doing during my NYC stay for the WBF…
The hardcore NBA fans are familiar with my man Kevin Durant right here. I have to admit, it was hard to like the guy at first considering I’m a Blazers fan (we picked Oden instead). But, this truly one of the brightest young stars in the NBA today and has a nice young nucleus in Oklahoma City that looks to be making noise for many upcoming seasons.
Check this short video clip where I asked him about his favorite kicks…

Rucker Park was just incredible – this was after halftime of the Brazil vs. Puerto Rico exhibition game.

After the Team USA inter-squad exhibition game….HOVAAAA!

So I’m back from a dream week in NYC for my coverage of the World Basketball Festival. From those following the Extra Butter tweets, you would have seen that I was quite busy. Over the next few days I will release some more flicks and footage in a 3-part series for you to get a more in depth look.
I have to thank my friends at Sneaker Freaker for this opportunity – please check the wrap-up I did for their site here.
In this post I will highlight some of the features in Harlem. Uptown was bubbling with all sorts of things to get your basketball juices flowing, so have a look.
Inside “The Ballroom” was a historic look at the evolution of jerseys, game balls, and of course sneakers. There were also interactive flat screen monitors to give a closer look at not just sneakers, but players and their signature moves – which the video will show you below.

Jordan Brand was fully present of course well with superstars Chris Paul and D. Wade appearing at House of Hoops, and a full Jordan Brand “For the Love of the Game” installation, down the street at Atmos.

On Friday night we had the pleasure of attending the world premier of the “Air Force 1: Anatomy of an Urban Legend” documentary. A truly incredible film and star-studded affair, the evening was surreal to say the least.

No commentsAdidas ObyO Gazelle Vintage Mid David Beckham
You might have heard of renowned soccer player David Beckham and noticed him being sponsored by Adidas, but what may be new to you is his selective ObyO line which, designed with the help of James Bond (owner of Undefeated), reflects the lifestyle of Beckham himself. Here we show you the Gazelle Vintage Mid, a mid-cut sneaker taking the silhouette of a moc-toe boot. The primarily maroon shoe is wrapped with a “sandstorm” trim which accentuates the shoe atop a clean white sole.

First Jeremy Scott, then Kazuki, now David Beckham, we told you to keep your eyes open for ObyO!

Is it really that time? The time of year when summer winds down and people get ready to head back to school. While some people don’t look forward to what’s ahead as the summer nears it’s end, one thing we can be excited about are new shoes and outfit ideas for the Fall season. We took the newest Vans Fall styles we received for a little trip to Hecksher Park in Huntington Village, for a little outdoor adventure. Have a look at the photos below, and while the heat may still burn up for a few weeks, don’t miss out on these Fall styles because they’ve already started to disappear.

No commentsAdidas x LUKER by Neighborhood
The Adidas Originals by Originals division teams up with designer Kazuki Kuraishi to release this LUKER by Neighborhood collaboration. You might be thinking that’s a lot of names being put into one sneaker, and we haven’t even gotten to the name of the sneaker yet! First of all, you should now be familiar with Kazuki, but those unfamiliar with LUKER or Neighborhood, they are a Japanese street fashion house. LUKER is a subdivision of Neighborhood and is a newer line that only began last fall. Kazuki and LUKER decided on using the Adidas Superstar for the collection. Neighborhood is no stranger to the Superstar model, as it was the same model used when they collaborated with Adidas Consortium in 2004 as part of the 35th Anniversary collection. Those fetch a hefty price nowadays if you can even find a pair available… So if you didn’t know about the previous collaboration, now you know why some might have anticipated this release.
Featured below is the Luker Hoody and Superstar 80′s.
