Nike Air Force 1 “Doernbecher” by Tony Signorelli
In tradition of Nike’s Doernbecher Freestyle program which is in partnership with the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital that started in 2004 patients of the hospital get an opportunity to design their own unique styles of some of their favorite Nike sneakers. The best part of this program is that the proceeds of the sneakers sold go directly back to the Doernecher Foundation. This year’s Nike Air Force 1 just so happened to be designed by an 11 year old by the name of Tony Signorelli, and I’ve got to say that Tony killed it!
With a little assistance from legendary sneaker designer Tinker Hatfield young Tony Signorelli concocted one kooky Air Force 1. They started with the Team Orange upper and blended it the with Varsity Red to give it that blazing fire appeal.
But the coup de grâce would have to be the Metallic Gold Snakeskin swoosh that wraps the side panels. And for a final touch, on the toe-boxes of both sneakers you can find a laser engraving that states “Think Positive and Positive Happens” written across from left to right on the shoes.
Do remember that all Nike Doernbecher sneakers come in very limited quantity and these are no exception. So I wouldn’t wait too long to get your hands on a pair if I were you.

1 commentNike Air Force 1 Low Premium & Air Max ’95
We just got in a double dosage of some classic Nike favorites! The new Nike Air Force 1 Black/Black-White is a bit more dynamic than the colorways may lead you to believe. These premium Air Forces blend together a wild mixture of materials to fill in that great AF1 silhouette. With a lightly brushed black leather upper to contrast the black suede side paneling these AF1′s also come equipped with a black patented leather swoosh and a retro style nylon tongue. These make for a super clean and sophisticated blend of textures that’s still fresh enough to top all an ‘All Black Everything” outfit.

Like they have done with a few other classic 90′s sneakers Nike has decided to remix the Air Max 95′s with the Club Purple colorway. But instead of using the Phoenix Suns-esque Orange accents found in the CB34′s Nike have decided to teamed up the Club Purple color scheme with the traditional Dark Grey and Medium Grey compliments. And then for a little extra touch you can find a little of the classic Neon Yellow stripes along the eyelets of sneaks.

No commentsLebron 8 V/2 “Cool Grey”
I gotta say off the bat, I’ve always really dug the V2 over the V1. It just communicates to me Nike’s innovative aesthetic which parallels Nike’s focus in performance and technology. The recurring theme of layers and translucency plays a big part in the design portion of this technology, which is surely demonstrated in this new Lebron 8 V/2. The entire upper of the shoe is grey, mixing Flywire and mesh which makes this shoe way more dynamic than meets the eye. Deciding not to be totally tonal, details are applied such as a touch of neon green seen on the heel of the outsole, insole, and making a slight appearance on the inside of the bubble unit. Perfectly executed with just enough restraint to maintain its simplicity!

3 commentsNike Air Vengeance (VNTG) & Toki Premium
As a follow up to when we posted the Air Venture, another sneaker just arrived that’s part of the V-Series. Since the V-Series is a pack containing a bunch of original runners, Nike instinctively decided to give them a vintage look which (I personally think) is the way to go. The charm of these old runners is, well, they’re old! It’s an original runner which holds a place in Nike’s ever growing timeline, and Nike let’s you experience them with that charm intact. This original colorway of the Air Vengeance uses one of Nike’s arguably strongest colorways, red and black, mixed with a neutral grey. And using some of my favorite Nike runner materials (mesh, suede, nylon), I have to thank Nike for giving these another retro.
Another new arrival is this Toki Premium. An ultimately simple shoe with an Anthracite black/white color scheme gets accentuated by a single copper colored eyelet. The shoe further displays its minimal design by choosing to imply the Swoosh using perforations, instead of traditionally sewing on an additional piece. For an everyday, casual style- the Toki has got you covered.

2 commentsAdidas January 2011 – Gazelle’s & Fortitude Mid
The Adidas Gazelle is a classic. Right next to the Samba, I’d have to say the Gazelle is the sleekest silhouette that they have coming out of their core line. We just received two new Gazelle’s – one in a primarily dark indigo color suede with Argentina Blue accenting the stripes and heel tab. The second colorway is done up in a flawless black & white. And with the price of Gazelle’s… such an easy choice for the Spring. Last of the arrival is the Fortitude Mid, a newer model that’s been given the proper attention by the Adidas designers (and us over here buying ‘em up). Adidas branches away from previously used black or gray as the main color and brings it out in a wood colored make-up. Mixed with the brown is an aluminum gray sole and “Aerolime” neon green laces.

No commentsMishka Headwear Exclusives January
Escape from New York. Whether you’ve seen the movie or not, this new Mishka exclusive beanie featuring a Cyco-Simonized Statue of Liberty standing in front of the easily recognizable NY skyline should be enough of a reason to be interested. I really want a Cyco Simon Statue of Liberty toy now…
We also received a New Era exclusive which ignores any mastery the Dutch may have and identifies these men as mavens of the Brooklyn guild. A well executed flip on Dutch Masters Cigars, with an added gray satin lining on the inside to add a lil’ something extra.
