January Nike assortment

We received an assortment of Nike release for January yesterday, and when I say assortment, I definitely mean it in a “variety” kind of way. 4 very different sneakers, because we’re versatile like that.

I’ll start with the Air Force 1 “velvet brown”. This reminds me of this butter pair of chocolate colored dunks I stupidly slept on a few years ago. The color on these looks delicious. But look closely at the Louis Vuitton-esque “epi leather” on the upper. Simply gorgeous.

Bo Jackson’s Air Trainer SCreturns in a bold color similar to his legendary “Raiders”-colored edition. The black & grey upper is joined by purple accents that give the shoe a new bold look.

Next up is the Air Venture (Vntg). These originally came out as part of the “V-series” over 5 years ago. The Vector (which is now for some reason called the Venture), Vengeance, and Vortex were part of a Nike running campaign that had it’s own incredible microsite (who remembers how dope that was?) and brought back the look of vintage runners. The Air Venture returns in it’s classic black-silver colorway with a little bit of a “vintage” treatment to give it an aged, but refined look. Stay tuned for the Vengeance and Vortex on the way….

Lastly, the Hyperdunk 2010! Available in mens and womens sizes, these shoes commemorate the Kay Yow Breast Cancer Fund as you can see from the “pink fire” colorway and the fund’s logo on the tongue. Kay Yow was the former Women’s NC Basketball coach as well as Team U.S.A. And in addition to it being for a good cause they happen to look incredible in person, and even better on. These pics don’t do it justice, but at least it give you an idea. These are a sureshot for my Top 10 of 2011, and yes I know it’s only January…

On the ACG front, Nike released two versions of the Air Max 1 that we’ve already  detailed for you, and on top of those vibrant colorways with 3m on the tongue, they have also released a Lunar Macleay WP+. For this well-received new model, there are some definite winter-ready elements, like a waterproof leather upper and metal eyelets. The Apple iPod-ready Nike+ feature is also included. For the Sportswear releases, there is a chocolate brown Air Force 1 low with tonal variations in the leather, a Trainer SC in black, grey, and purple, as well as a surprise model–the Nike Air Venture. This model features a mesh upper, a silver swoosh, and a suede upper, to pair with the vintage Nike midsole. These are all up for grabs now at EXTRA BUTTER. [...]
