10 Deep x Pro-Keds Royal Plus
Yes! One of our favorite brands (10 Deep) has just collaborated with one of the most classic sneaker brands (Pro-Keds) to make not one but two sleek new sneaks to keep you fresh as we step into 2011. 10 Deep took the classic Pro-Keds Royal Plus silhouette and put their signature brace knuckle flip on it for “The Veterans” series.
For all of you fans of camouflage the Deep crew put their own flip with the Woodland Camo upper on the Royal Plus and hugged it with the signature gum midsole. These kicks are perfect for every footsoldier whether you’re lurking through Vietnam or trecking down 42nd street, you’ll be jungle ready.
And for an added flight jacket/hunting gear affect both kicks come equipped with the bright orange in-lining.

The second style in the 10 Deep x Pro-Ked series is constructed with an entirely indigo raw denim upper, just waiting to be worn in like your favorite pair of jeans.

Vans California: Switchback Nubuck
By now you should be familiar with the Vans California line. Classic models and new styles from the Vans catalog get a premium treatment with upgrades in leather, materials, packaging, and the super comfortable OrthoLite insoles.
You should also be familiar with the Switchback. A shoe that looks like a beefed up Authentic, that gets a high boot treatment and look while maintaining a sneaker-feel. If you’re not familiar, it’s because they sell out every time we get them. And with the snow that dumped on us last night, I’m sure these can be put to good use real quick. Peep the 2 latest colors below…

No commentsJanuary Nike assortment
We received an assortment of Nike release for January yesterday, and when I say assortment, I definitely mean it in a “variety” kind of way. 4 very different sneakers, because we’re versatile like that.
I’ll start with the Air Force 1 “velvet brown”. This reminds me of this butter pair of chocolate colored dunks I stupidly slept on a few years ago. The color on these looks delicious. But look closely at the Louis Vuitton-esque “epi leather” on the upper. Simply gorgeous.

Bo Jackson’s Air Trainer SCreturns in a bold color similar to his legendary “Raiders”-colored edition. The black & grey upper is joined by purple accents that give the shoe a new bold look.

Next up is the Air Venture (Vntg). These originally came out as part of the “V-series” over 5 years ago. The Vector (which is now for some reason called the Venture), Vengeance, and Vortex were part of a Nike running campaign that had it’s own incredible microsite (who remembers how dope that was?) and brought back the look of vintage runners. The Air Venture returns in it’s classic black-silver colorway with a little bit of a “vintage” treatment to give it an aged, but refined look. Stay tuned for the Vengeance and Vortex on the way….

Lastly, the Hyperdunk 2010! Available in mens and womens sizes, these shoes commemorate the Kay Yow Breast Cancer Fund as you can see from the “pink fire” colorway and the fund’s logo on the tongue. Kay Yow was the former Women’s NC Basketball coach as well as Team U.S.A. And in addition to it being for a good cause they happen to look incredible in person, and even better on. These pics don’t do it justice, but at least it give you an idea. These are a sureshot for my Top 10 of 2011, and yes I know it’s only January…

4 commentsNike ACG Air Max 1 and Lunar Macleay WP+
The Nike ACG division took on the Air Max 1 by giving it a taste of it’s signature early 90′s color-styling. 2 pairs featured below each come with a different laces for each foot and additional set of matching laces that coincide with the toebox of each shoe – dark shadow for the first pair, white for the second. The All Conditions Gear logo is also featured in a bright reflective material featured on the tongue tag as well as the heel tab.

New to the ACG line is also the Nike Lunar Macleay WP+. The “WP” does mean they are waterproof, which is a definite score for this time of year. The grey “midnight fog” Simona waterproof leather upper is complimented well by the peach accents. Reflective material hides behind the toe and heel cap bumpers and is fused into the laces as you can see below. The “Lunar” outsole makes for a super comfortable ride when running, so the fact that this is a Nike + product is another bonus as you can sync it up with your iPod, iTouch, etc. and keep track of your running…

1 commentVans California Chukka Del Barco Decon & 106 Vulcanized
The Vans California line starts the year of with a little change. The ever popular Chukka Del Barco received the “Decon” treatment, short for deconstruct. The padded collar lining/interior has been stripped down to a light, thinly-padded herringbone canvas interior. It gives the shoe a more worn in look that is well received. 3 simple colors available keeping the look classy. The outsole (bottom) features a fresh little surprise as well. Click the individual pics below to view them in our webstore.

The 106 Vulcanized came out bangin’ with it’s “Chipmunk” colored-uper. Brass eyelets that leak leather laces that match the heel tab on the back is a nice, sophisticated touch. Additional photos and infoof this shoe can also be accessed by clicking the pic below.

No commentsNike Lebron 8 V/2 and Air Jordan 6-17-23
I grouped these two shoes that came in today, because they’re both good to ball in. They’re both the classic white/black/red colorway. And I think they’re both really dope!
Hate on Lebron if you wish, one thing even his haters will have to admit is that his shoe is something else. Ridiculously comfortable with details galore. Extra Butter’s astrology sign is Leo, so we’re a big fan of the tongue here…
The Jordan 6-17-23 is the latest hybrid, or more like a Frankenstein-type mash up of one of the more popular Countdown Packs from a few years ago that contained the Jordan 6 & 17. Really pleased with how these came out, as they’re definitely a neckbreaker, and the carmine color is unbeatable.
