Nike Women’s Terminator Hi

February 27th, 2011 | Category: Brands,New Arrivals,Nike

You ain’t never seen a Terminator like this have you!?

The Nike Terminator is back in a new style exclusive for women. Lucky. Designed by the Nike JPE team, these Terminator’s have a gusseted tongue and a cut out swoosh, so you better be wearing some funky socks! You can probably see from the pics that the “honeycomb” colored leather is buttery soft and broken in. A couple “peach cream” accents in the laces, tongue top, and interior. These are so buttery I can’t take it…make it in mens sizes please!

Jeremy Scott x Adidas ObyO Spring 2011

February 25th, 2011 | Category: Adidas,Brands

JEREMY SCOTT. All caps, because homey is bold as always. This year’s Adidas Originals by Originals include clear Wings, Wings that glow in the dark, the new 2.0 version in black and metallic gold, and even an Adilette Adidas sandal with the wings strap over the forefoot! If you’ve followed us, you know we’re not shy to say that Jeremy Scott is one of the most brilliant designers of our time. Clearly not for everyone, but for those sneakerheads out there who hate on the crazyness…these kicks sell out. They’re a breath of fun and fresh air to a market that I feel could definitely ease up and take itself a little less serious these days. Hopefully when most people start, until now – copping sneakers was fun!

So I mentioned the Wings variations above, but let’s start with his new creation – the JS Bear! Super soft stuffed animal fur with an actual head and arms up top, Snuggle Fabric Softener style…

Have a look at the collection and keep in mind some of the styles are available for both men and women, but are extremely limited! Make your moves asap…

Kazuki x Adidas ObyO – Plants & Jam Home Made Stan Smith

February 25th, 2011 | Category: Adidas,Brands,New Arrivals

Originals by Originals…again and again.

Kazuki’s up to bat now with surefire homeruns. The Plants KZK is as simple as it gets in it’s styling. But, a small little plant-flip to the Adidas signature trefoil logo and it’s a wrap…shoe is bananas. And plants – sign of growth, things that require nurturing, and hopefully the Spring season around the corner, an elegant touch to an already smooth shoe. Comfy as can be, I’m sure whoever ends up owning a pair will be wearing these daily.

Kazuki also teamed up with Jam Home Made – premium accessory brand out of Japan on a Stan Smith. Sleek black leather with 2 wow-factor features subtly mixed in. A hologram leopard print sits on the back heel tab. 2 years ago Kazuki gave the wildlife animal a bolder look on his KZK Boot that I actually wore the other day. These unique Stan Smiths also come with cork in-soles as you can see in the photo below…incredible.

Air Jordan 13 Retro “Playoffs”

February 24th, 2011 | Category: Air Jordan,Brands,Coming Soon...,New Arrivals

The Jordan 13 Retro are a blast from the past that originally dropped 13 years ago during Jordan’s last season as a Bull. The sneaker culture might have been a tad bit different during the late 90′s, with a few less sneaker blogs and a few more basketball fans. Which in turn made how people found out about the latest sneakers a little different as well.

During the 1997-98 NBA Playoffs Michael Jordan, in what most thought for sure would be his last season, debuted the latest colorway of the Air Jordan 13 which consisted of a Black leather upper with True Red hits on the outer-sole and Vibrant Yellow accents. Like Michael did for the past 2 years with Air Jordans, the XI’s & XII’s, these 3 primarily Black and Red themed colorways were dubbed the “Playoffs”. I’m sure that Michael was trying to send a message to all of his competition by placing a golden ring on the tongues of the Air Jordan XIII during the Playoffs, making a mission statement of a champion.

RELEASING: Saturday, February 26th 2011

The 2011 Air Jordan 13 Retro are very similar to it’s 1998 counterpart with a tumbled Black leather upper accented by circular stitched grooves that resemble the ones found on Golf balls. The side and rear panels are treated with the same Black suede, except in the 2011 version the Red outer-sole is a Varsity Red as opposed to the True Red found in the originals.

Nike Black History Month Pack – Destroyer, Zoom Kobe VI & Air Jordan III

February 23rd, 2011 | Category: Air Jordan,Brands,New Arrivals,Nike,Now Playing...

For this Black History Month Nike opened up with an annual favorite the BHM edition Air Force 1. But this year they decided to broaden the Black History Month pack by including a BHM edition  Nike Destroyer Varsity Jacket, a BHM edition Nike Zoom Kobe VI and an BHM Air Jordan 3 Retro. These two sneakers were the perfect selections to close out the month with as they both pay homage to two athletes that totally encompasses the glory and greatness of Black History Month.

For 2011 Nike incorporated a strong Black and Gold motif throughput all of the Black History Month pieces which ties them together gorgeously. Each piece is also detailed with powerful inspirational quotes such as “A Call For Greatness” which is found on all of the shoes or the word “Pioneer” that is embroidered along the left arm of the Destroyer Jacket.

All of the BHM pack will be releasing Saturday 2/26 in extremely limited quantity…

Dropping on the cusp of the Kobe Bryant and Robert Rodriguez short film “The Black Mamba” Nike has released the Black History Month edition of the Zoom Kobe VI. This version of the Zoom Kobe’s however also follows the Black and Gold color-scheme which has the majority of the shoe being black accented with a golden Swoosh, Kobe logo and heel-cup. The shoe also come equipped with a multi-colored “BHM” logo along the side heel of the sneaker.

The BHM edition Air Jordan 3 may remind you a lot of the “Black Cat” colorway from a while back. Except this shoe is accented with Gold stitching and metallic Gold hits along the eyelets and Jumpman logos all around the shoe. Also instead of the signature Elephant print pattern which made these sneakers so famous you can find a lasered collage along the tip and heel of the sneaker. The collage symbolizes the historic accomplishments of Michael Jordan such as winning the Slam Dunk Championship and his first NBA MVP award while he first dawned the Air Jordan III back in 1988.

Islanders vs. Capitals – White Out + Savage Saturday!?

February 23rd, 2011 | Category: Coming Soon...,Events,Seen Recently

So 2 weeks ago your New York Islanders had a home game vs. the Crosby/Malkin-less Penguins on a fight-filled, 9-3 slaughter that has been dubbed “Ferocious Friday”, as the Islanders had to exact revenge on some recent dealing with the Pens, not to mention send a message to the rest of the league. Here’s some shots we took at an Isles-Penguins game in Pittsburgh in late January.

Just wanted to share some of the spirit, but to see what went down on “Ferocious Friday” click here to see the coverage from our friends at Islanders Point Blank.

It’s been a rough season without a doubt, but there have been a few bright spots with even more since that evening. This Saturday, the Islanders take on Alexander Ovechkin and his Washington Capitals. There’s no looming score to settle that I know about, but with the way the team has been playing we’re looking at an exciting game for sure…possible a “Savage Saturday”?! We’ll be there (celebrating my pisces birthday!) and also taking part in the “WHITE OUT” (check the #WhiteOutTheRed topic on twitter and on facebook), which means our group will join the rest of the fans in wearing white to outshine those sorry Caps fans that will be wearing red in our territory! Some die hards are even making “White Out” t-shirts for the event so look out for those, or you could always wear our own ’95-throwback Islanders inspired “Fish Sticks” tee of course!

Might have a few extra tickets available so hit us up if you’re interested!
