As the weather’s been getting hotter so as the Retro Jordan heat that’s been dropping. But as everyone’s been scooping up their fave O.G. colorways Jordan Brand have been dropping some pretty cool quickstrike releases. the second colorway released this year in the Air Jordan XII Retro Low are the Black and Varsity Red color scheme.

If you remember the hype surrounding the AJ XII Retro Low “Taxi” and just couldn’t get you’re hands on a pair then the Black and Varsity Red colorway should be a good follow up for this Summer.

10 Deep is becoming infamous for their brand collaborations and it is rumored that their latest  collab with Reebok has been in the works for over 2 years, but these seem to be worth the wait. The end result being the 10 Deep x Reebok Night Sky Mid. The Reebok classic Night Sky shoe was originally designed to be both a rough terrain hiking shoe as well as a light weight and comfortable casual walking shoe. The durability, functionality mixed with with it’s two-faced rugged/casual persona made the Night Sky the ideal shoe for 10 Deep who keeps a strong urban but outdoorsy image.

The upper of the shoe is composed mostly of a Camel colored nubuck  with Blue accents that can be found on the toebox, side panel and ankle. The outter sole is a blend of a Black and Pewter speckled pattern along with the same Black and Pewter colors used on the tongue and sock liner. With the padded Reebok die-cut EVA midsole and the light weight nubuck upper this shoe is sure to deliver on it’s promise to be both cousy and durable with you’re trekking through rockiest mountain side or the most crumbled of sidewalks.

The Air Jordan 2.0 are here! Originally leaking on to the interwebs a few months ago under the name “Air Jordan II Max” because of it’s rebooted 360 Air Max midsole the Air Jordan 2.0 delivers a new level of functionality to a classic Air Jordan 2 silhouette. The shoe takes a the classically sophisticated silhouette of the Air Jordan 2′s and trimmed away some of the fat creating a lighter upper along with a mesh accented tongue and sock liner.

The whole shoe sticks on the super comfortable 360 Air Max unit that is similar to the one found on the latest Nike Lebron 8 series. There are times when trying to bring a modern twist to classic sneakers like the AJ 2′s just doesn’t work (cough) Air Jordan 2 Nu’ (cough), but the Air Jordan 2.0′s are a seamless blend of retro Jordan aesthetics and the latest in sports technology. Kudos to Jordan Brand.

This past Saturday while you stayed in afraid of the rapture, we were “Cake’n” it up here with the Kafe Kings. This unique event, put together by Kwan Luv (A.L.I.E.N., Visions.18, Konogo Mix) hosted a variety of artists, musicians, and dancers under our own buttery roof. The legendary night marks only the beginning, so while you wait for the next one check out some photos from this past Saturday to see some of what went down.

Earlier this morning the news struck us that the iconic pro-wrestler “Macho Man” Randy Savage had passed away. The Macho Man reportedly died in a car accident in result of a heart attack suffered while driving. Thus closing an impressionable chapter in many of our childhood memories.

Randy Savage will go down as one of the most influential wrestlers and pop cultural figures of our generation. With his extravagantly over-the-top flamboyant persona the Macho Man brought a larger than life flair to television and wrestling that was seldom seen before.

We here at Extra Butter have our fair share of Randy Savage memorabilia, not that we need it though because I’m sure that we all have our favorite Macho Man memory etched into our brain. Whether it may be one of his heroic moments at a Summer Slam, Wrestlemania, or maybe it might even be on of his later more senile moments. Any way you look at it the glitter wearing, funky sunglasses sporting, middle of the ring twirling, elbow dropping, Slim Jim snapping icon will always have a good place in our heart. Rest in peace Randy Savage.

New TOMS have arrived ! One is the new silver glitter that is similar to the gold glitter that were released late last summer. They have a nice pattern in the inside with various shapes of stars. We also received the ‘university navy’ which remind me of boat shoes.
