Blue is the color of the sea, but “true blue” is the wave for this summer. With the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” set to release in the coming weeks, our true blue cravings are satisfied with these slick pair of slides smooth for the summer! Shout outs to alliteration, haha!

In all seriousness, I’ve never seen a sandal/slide with as much as this right here. Yes it nails the white/red/true colorway, but they went as far as adding the eyelet detail by the strap, the outsole of the original Air Jordan 3, and the air bag as well. The cement print also shows up in pattern form on the clear jelly foot bed making for a comfy ride.

The Nike Air Griffey Max II’s are back! The hype was pretty high for the previous “Fresh Water” colorway release of the popular ken Griffey Jr. sneaker, but with rave reviews it would seem that all the hype was met. So with that in mind Nike decided to come even harder by mixing in this season’s signature Chlorine Blue color-scheme into the mix.

The latest Air Griffey II’s blend a primarily Midnight Navy nubuck upper with subtle hits of the vibrant Chlorine Blue found on the tongue, accented embroidery and carbon fiber heel plate. All of these are stuffed into the classic Griffey II silhouette and seated on a cushy White midsole and Chlorine Blue outtersole to make for a funky new Summer classic colorway.

You got yesterday’s briefing here. But I’m here with more insight – or rather pleasure for your eyes and ears…

Our friend Justin hit me up the other day wondering if he could come through for the “KAFE KING” event this Saturday. I said “but of course!”. His concerns were that he’s only 16 years old…which in my world, when it comes to this culture – means nothing, the younger the better when it comes to starting on that path to being an individual. Justin told me he really didn’t want to miss it especially since Moruf would be there. His messages translated tremendous excitement at the thought of catching Moruf live since he’s been “so hooked on his tape”…to which I agreed with and related to in full.

Justin’s sentiments were not alone as most of us here and more of our friends have expressed the same, but I’m thankful for him sharing his anticipation for Saturday’s performance – a feeling somewhat lost as years have gone by for me. Moruf’s music has taken me back as well, to the feeling of listening to songs obsessively wanting to know every line and accentuate his delivery with precision. I didn’t use calendars much when I was a kid, but I sure as hell had dates locked in my head when it came to looking forward to seeing one of my favorite artists perform. This is what we’re dealing with when it comes to this Saturday. This is the effect of Moruf’s music….

Ring the alarm! Another Jordan 5 here…whoaaa, heyyy!

I should probably not be allowed to blog for at least a month after that opener, but not gonna happen. The girls get an exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan 5 in black and “alarming”. A unique pink-ish accent that highlights the shoe similar to the way the “fire reds” have colored previous Jordan 5 models. Kids sizes only – while they last….

So here’s the deal – it’s judgment day this Saturday, and what better way for all you sinners and saints to spend the time together (before judgment happens) then to be at Extra Butter for a one of a kind event and be CAKE’N!

1. The event starts at 7:00pm! So check those train/bus times, traffic channel, etc. But be here on time, because the early bird gets the worm. Or in this case – the early cats get the cake!!
2. The artists involved are all super talented and will inspired and effect your life in ways that are permanent. At least that’s how myself and other close ones seem to feel. So, seriously…benefit from it.
3. There will be *exclusive* treats….it’s a KAFE people, and the KAFE KINGS will have goodies cooked up…some edible, some wearable. Either way delicious!!

One of our favorite brands Mishka NYC is no stranger to pumping out dope sports themed apparel, but this time they’ve kicked up another level by teaming up with the design wizards over at The Clink Room. The Clink Room might be known better as Plan B Branding the company responsible for the re-branding and logo design for many of your favorite Major and Minor League franchises.

Usually Mishka’s rock ‘n jock/sporty themed gear is themed around their trademarked “Death Adders” theme but this collaborative exclusive birthed a new fake sporting franchise team, this time based around the sinister Cyco Simon character, The Cycotics! Both Mishka and The Clink Room were dope enough to leak out some of the conceptual sketches which mapped out the whole design process from beginning to end.

The end result of all of all this were some sick original T-Shirt and New Era designs with some gnarly baseball themed logos which perfectly kicks off this year MLB season.

The Cyco Simon Mascot t-shirt might just be my favorite out of the bunch and I’m sure the guys at Mishka have similar feelings because they even released a t-shirt with the sick original sketch on it.

Happy Monday everyone…

On Friday the 13th we showed a free screening of “The Howling”, a 1981 werewolf thriller in honor of the new “Wolf Grey” 5s.  After the movie, at midnight, we released the  Air Jordan Retro 5s.

Thank you to everyone that came down Friday night – From Clark Kent to the kids who camped out. We appreciate the support and making the evening a fun one!

Our friend Gabby made us these yummy red velvet cake-pop treats that look like wolves !

It’s been a little while since the first drop of the Air Jordan 6-17-23, frankenstein-of a shoe (pictured in the specifications sticker on the inside of the box), but a new clean colorway just dropped and has been welcomed with open arms.

The “white/college blue” colorway is most reminiscent of the infamous “Wizards Home team” colorway of the Jordan 17′s that released in the briefcase! With the color blocking simplified on this pair, the comparisons lines are easy to draw to it’s 17 predecessor. Still, this model fuses design aspects of the Jordan 6, while still incorporating technology conducive to some comfy ball playing AND celebrating the heralded Jordan number “23″ (6 + 17 =’s…).
