Ahh June… the first official month of summer. ‘Tis a great month, indeed. It has also been a great month for sneakerheads after seeing the release of several fan favorites and retros courtesy of Jordan brand. Well June’s not over yet and JB is closing it out strong with 3 new styles ready to hit the streets. The CMFT Air Max X’s get an update with the perpetually fresh Cool Grey shade… a deadly combination. Next up are the “Phat” AJ 1′s in a White and Wolf Grey colorway that are perfect for that summer BBQ. Lastly, we got the Grown V.9′s which live up to Grown tradition with a sophisticated chambray upper…

This past Thursday the Extra Butter family and friends went to the Theophilus London concert (again!) at the Music Hall of Williamsburg. Shout out to Elmo DaMan (album coming soon!) and our B-more 2-step!!

10 new Adidas came in this past week…

The first one is the Zx500 in a new colorway. Love the maroon and baby-blue together.

These are the Adi-Rise Mid which are a new street-inspired look. Featuring heel and forefoot straps.

Also in a new colorway are the Roundhouse Mid. Perfect to play some ball in for the summertime.

Also new are the Rod Lavers in two colorways. One with a Navy bottom sole and also the Green bottom sole. What I found out this past week was that the Rod Lavers are the official hacky-sack shoe.

Gazelle II – The original Gazelle came out in 1968 and is amongst the most favorite Adidas models

Also in are the Adidas Campus II on the left. The Gazelle OG in the middle and the Stan Smith on the right.

New TIMEX arrived just in time for the summer. “White Ghost”, “Gold Malibu”, “Sugar Skull” are the newest prints on the Classic Timex 80 style. Also a Re-stock in the JUMBO metal style “Gold Comet.”

“Gold Malibu” is one of the latest styles on the classic TIMEX.

The new “White Ghost” is a glow in the dark version of the classic digital watch. The entire watch comes with the glow in the dark feature and lights up in the dark.

The “Gold Comet” Timex 80 JUMBO in gold stainless steal.

The new “Sugar Skull” classic 80 style is definitely my favorite. This new look reminds me of ‘Day of the dead’ art.

For Mishka’s Summer ’11 collection we decided to get the crew together and take a trip down to Lido’s Malibu Beach Club. While shooting this lookbook we learned a few valuable lessons. First we learned that Malibu is a swag-free zone as we were subsequently kicked off the premises for “having too much swag.” Props to Mishka. We also learned that Karin has a wicked jump shot.

However, before we became Malibu’s most wanted we had a great time lounging on the beach eating hotdogs, shooting hoops, and playing Kan Jam in the new gear. This collection comes with no shortage of highlights starting with Lamour Supreme’s awesome and ominous t-shirts perfect for the summer…monster parties, or the impending apocalypse. We also put our basketball skills on display while sporting Mishka’s Baller t-shirts and snapbacks, which give you their take on the Lakers’ and Knicks’ classic logos. Another highlight of this collection are the Keep Watch and Death Adder necklaces done by Good Wood, you won’t miss out on these would you??

The Air Jordan VII Cardinal’s are back, and will be available this Saturday in-store and online. One of the classic colorways to be released back in 1992 the Cardinals still turn heads when seen in the streets. With all of the hype surrounding this year’s AJ3 and AJ5 releases you’d be wise to not miss out on these. The White, Cardinal Red, and Gold color-scheme are a sure killer for this Summer and personally I already have plans on incorporating these in to my “End of Summer” rotation a lot this year.

One of the newest brands to our roster, G.P.P.R. made a good amount of noise with their Spring release earlier in the year. G.P.P.R. – representing the Gentleman, the Pervert, the Philosopher, and the Rebel – are back with a Summer delivery entitled “International Brotherhood”. Have a look at the photos below…

The “Sullivan” is named after the variety show king, Ed Sullivan. The front side boasts G.P.P.R.’s tag as the “Last Gang in Town”, with the back side representing the modern day American Renaissance man on a bowling-style button-up.

The “Trooper” tee is self explanatory as a classic camo t-shirt like this should be in everyone’s wardrobe. Left chest features the seasonal title and G.P.P.R. call out…

Here we have the “Rude Boy”, which works for the bad boys out there with it’s printed suspenders with bold buttons on the front. But, the “Rude Boy” is a tribute to the ska/punk/reggae 2-tone movement that G.P.P.R. cites as a big influence to their brand.

The “Four Wiseman” tee was seen in the last delivery, but the imagery sums up the brand perfectly…so we brought it back!

*Also heard some murmurings or a “Strummer” jacket re-stock…staying tuned is a must.
