New Publish Brand : Today For Tomorrow
If you still haven’t heard, we recently welcomed Publish Brand as the latest addition to our lineup. This just so happens to be a perfect combination as Extra Butter and Publish share a distinct commonality; we strive to convey stories through our work, and we usually let our work do the talking. In this case, I don’t have to do much talking as K.Swissy’s photographs speak for themselves.
For Publish’s jazz-inspired “cool struttin’” Summer ’11 collection, Justyn, K.Swissy, and I decided to venture into the lush forests of Long Island. Hempstead Lake turned out to be the perfect setting to put these sophisticated yet casual products on display. This collection offers up a variety of apparel and accessories, inspired by iconic American figures such as jazz-legend, Charlie “Bird” Parker, and innovative jazz-hoppers, Digable Planets.
So without further adieu, we introduce to you… Publish.

Womens Vans July Releases
Three new fashion forward Vans for women just hit our shelves. Vans has always been successful at translating their clean and casual aesthetic shoes for men into awesome alternatives for women. The new Vans Sophie, Sophie Boot & Spectator Lo Pro all exhibit a touch of that timeless flair found in many classic women’s silhouettes throughout the decades, but still adds that fun and comfy feel that Vans in known for.
The Vans Sophie in Black keeps a clean, sophisticated yet low profile look while still showing off with it’s vintage inspired silhouette and premium leather composition. The Vans Sophie Boot in Brown also holds true to it’s lower counterpart while incorporating its premium leather upper with smooth Brown tweed side paneling for a harmonious blend of textures. And very reminiscent of a 1950′s oxford-shoe, the Vans Spectator blends buttery soft Black and White leather with dress shoe inspired accents which gives a classy and fun look to any ensemble.

No commentsNike AIR for August
The concept is air. The medium in which we are above the ground.
3 such representations.
- Air Force 1 – team red. patent leather toe. reminiscent of an old favorite – Cranberry Patent Air Force 1.
- Air Pegasus ’92 – matte silver with blue glow! this is the one you’ll pass on and be mad at when you see others rockin’
- Air Max Ultra – following the popular Air Max 2011 Alpha drop from last week, the Air Max Ultra takes things a step further with a 360 degree air bag. Blacked out to the floor and an absolute killer look and feel on the foot.
Inhale…exhale….

10 commentsAugust Jordan releases
An interesting batch from Jordan Brand arrived at the shop and we’re glad to show them to you. I say interesting, because Jordan Brand continues to diversify their lineup, bringing many different offerings to spice up your wardrobe.
Your grapes to meet the parents? Wearing BINs to the gym? Hare 7′s to a wedding?! I mean maybe…but c’mon son…
Here are some alternatives for those other occasions in life that don’t require stuntin’ and …who am I kidding? Always look fresh, but just change it up from time to time. Check it out…
The Air Jordan Grown V.9 is smooth. No denying it…beautiful lux upper with a clean black sole. The silhouette sports minimal branding letting it’s simplistic beauty speak for itself.
The Air Jordan 1 Phat comes blacked out, triple black, or as my friend CMarty likes to say “murdered out!”. Some of the upper paneling gets a texture that gives it the look of a carbon fiber treatment. Some occasions require you toning it all down, but you might as well be stylish when you’re doing so…
Last is my favorite! I remember back in the day seeing these and saying “OH Jordan got some prestos now!?”. Trunners they were and now we have the new Jordan Trunner 11 LX. A shoe a la sock…as in the thing fits like a glove. Or I guess a good sock. The outsole seems beefed up now for more durability and it’s got an exposed air bag ride in the back which is a superb touch. I hinted at the idea up top at needing a gym shoe, well this might be it. But if I never make it to the gym (which I don’t) at least when I front like I might…I’ll look mighty fresh.

7 commentsNike Air Max Jr & Air Griffey Max 1 “Fresh Water”
Today on this blazing hot Summer day we’re batting a double header. We just got in a double serving of Nike x Ken Griffey Jr goodness. First we’ll start with the classic Air Griffey Max 1 in the signature “Fresh Water” colorway which pays homage to the Seattle Mariners color-scheme where Griffey spent many day knocking them out of the park.
The Nike Air Max Jr takes the inspiration of the original Griffey series and spruces them up with some modern Nike technology. The 360 air bag unit adds an updated level of comfort to the modified Griffey upper which consists of snuggley fitting composite webbing that sits under the suede outter.

Reebok Kamikaze III Mid – Designed By Swizz Beatz
That’s right, Reebok’s Back! Many fans of Reebok have been silently biding their time as they awaited a new style to come their way, and with the help of super Hip-Hop producer Swizz Beatz their prayers have been answered. In collaboration with Reebok Swizz Beatz have cooked up one of the cleanest sneaker silhouettes that I’ve seen in a while, all while capturing all of the allure and style that is key to the Reebok brand.
The latest Reebok Kamikaze III have been leaking all over the internet as early as Holiday 2010, which has made these releases one of the most highly anticipated sneakers of the year. The aggressive, yet clean “Zig’ pattern found on the upper side panel of the sneakers are a sure eye catcher. The upper of the shoe sits comfortably atop a cozy reformed Reebok “Hexalite” cushioning system. The mixture of the futuristic lines and the signature Reebok accents that are used to compose this shoe makes this a unique new style with a timeless appeal. Be sure to scoop up a pair of these before they’re all gone, but make sure to keep an eye out for some future Reebok releases as well… It’s looking bright.

No commentsThings from this past week…
A smorgasbord of photos…a small one though. Haven’t documented too much as of late…but here’s a few to share.
CMartyMar came through with some goody goodies….thank you fam!
Saw Terri at Cinema Arts Centre. Mostly wanted to see it because I liked Cyrus so much which we saw recently. This wasn’t as funny, but had much more feeling…much to enjoy.
Reebok threw quite the jam – Reethym of Life…and Swizz was inspiring to say the least! I said it before, I know…but a BIG year for Reebok!
Then I saw this 1978 gem for the first time. Magic, starring a young Anthony Hopkins…
About to watch Fracture on some newer Mr. Hopkins ish…have a good week!
