With the shop’s birthday recently passing, I spent a lot of time looking back to our beginnings. Mostly rewinding the times through this very blog, I found myself with a smile that simply wouldn’t go away.

There’s been some ups and downs, but through it all, one of the things I’m most proud of is the way in which we’ve done things during these early stages of our birth. We do things our way, the butter way I guess…and I believe its a thing of beauty.

At times I feel we’ve done things that maybe flew over people’s heads – not because we’re great and esoteric, but just because we are us…So with the recent drop of our Wet Hot Buttery Summer collection we wanted to expand a bit on the designs and give everyone a “closer look”.

I start with the “Official Selection” – Silverscreen colorway, a color choice concept paying homage to my favorite part of our shop…the movie screen. I feel this logo has become our best, and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying seeing this edition added to our original bold black and gold, and regal burgundy with gold.

A crowning moment for a movie, being given the title of “Official Selection” for an esteemed film festival, along with the clever play on words – this was a match made in design heaven. It’s the logo you floss when you want to rep who you rock with, and shows your choice as being 1First Quality1.
