Adidas just pulled a hat trick on the Crazy 8. A trifecta of three potent colorways just dropped in the Adidas Crazy 8, the original signature of future NBA hall of famer Kobe Bryant. Originally worn back in 1997, the sneaker was donned by the Black Mamba back in his “I need a haircut” days. But now a days the ever popular silhouette of the Crazy 8 keeps coming out in refreshing colorways keeping the number 8 alive and strong.

Adidas took a pretty clean and simplistic approach to designing these colorways. The Red, Royal and Aluminum colorways make up the build for the uppers of the shoes, all blending smooth leather, nylon, suede and mesh monochromatically throughout the sneakers. All of this is then placed on top of a black and white midsole making these one freshly unified color pack.

This week’s movie night will bring a little something extra to the table. We join forces yet again, with our friends from Visions.18 and A.L.I.E.N. NYC for a one of a kind evening as we screen “TALES FROM THE HOOD” – part of a 3-part series called THUG.LIFE.

Adding some fun to the mix, we encourage everyone to dress with the “THUG.LIFE.” attire/costume in mind…and there just may be some prizes for the best dressed thugs of the night.

They’re heeeeeere! Following up yesterday’s little teaser pic, our EB snapbacks have arrived for your viewing pleasure!

Releasing this Saturday, October 15th we have a selection of  “official selections”, and 2 other bonuses. The 2 “Official Selection” caps come in navy/gold and “silverscreen” – colorways that should be familiar to those that have seen our “Wet Hot Buttery Summer” collection. Another favorite from the summer collection – A League of Our Own, makes it’s way onto a 2-tone grey/red snapback with a little splash of butter on top. Lastly, is the “Headhunter” snapback…which I’ll let people have fun hunting down our inspiration for that one. Heads ready?!

Introducing…Boss Senken. Our homey runs the streets around these parts, and with that – he’s also got the kind of style and taste we all wish we had at his young age. Being a good friend of ours and a fan of the brilliance that is Jeremy Scott’s work with the Adidas Originals by Originals program – the Boss tried out the pieces of the latest Fall/Winter collection for the photos you’ll see below.

For footwear we have the JS Streetball – a lightweight basketball silhouette that gets the full Jeremy Scott transformation fusing bold colors, leopard print, and one of my favorite toebox’s in sneaker history. Boss Senken also gave the JS SLM’s a whirl, which is a slimmed down version of a classic bowling shoe with a traditional Stan Smith gum outsole.

On the apparel side we have statement making pieces in the camouflage t-shirt, bullet crewneck and sweatpants (sold seperately), and the coup de grace of the collection – the reversible bomber jacket. That’s enough I’d say, we’ll let Boss Senken and the photos do the talking from here….enjoy!!

After an awesome turnout and event to the thriller of last week’s “I Saw the Devil”, this SATURDAY – October 15th, we’ll be holding a DOUBLE FEATURE screening at 10pm!!

“The Collector” and “May” will be the 2 movies shown this week as they come highly recommended via BamLaRoc, so these are sure to be twisted. There’s nothing better than being cooped up at the shop for a double feature on a spooky Saturday night so bring what you need to be comfortable and prepare for a good one!

In the world of the Vans consumer there seems to be some invisible hard-set lines, there are the Era/Authentic guys, there are Chukka guys, and the Slip-On guys, and these lines are seldom crossed. But these new all denim Vans Halfcabs might blur those line boundaries a bit. The upper of the Halfcabs is composed of a slightly shiny indigo denim which is linked together by white stitching, this blend is reminiscent of an old pair of Marithé et François Girbaud jeans that I had in the late 90′s. Beautiful.

And as a perfect compliment to the denim we have the all suede Wingtip Era in the (tan) Dune colorway. The Wingtip Era is the perfect blend of old fashioned conservative and new school casual and they make for a great 1-2 punch for any wardrobe.
