Our EBAA logo appears yet again! Last seen on our “Movie Snack” 5-panels, the EBAA logo now makes it’s way onto beanies. Available in both black and “golden butter” and releasing tomorrow (Friday, February 1st) both in-store and online – in limited quantities!!

With the apocalypse just days away (no, not the Air Jordan BRED 11 release), we may have some zombies and other ungodly disasters upon us….but we’ve banded together as best we can and look to survive!

Upon survival, we will join forces yet again with our friends from CON TEMPLATE, for a Post Apocalyptic Holiday Acoustic Show!! What it is is a kum ba yah of sorts, as we’ll be bringing friends and family together for a warm evening mixed with holiday spirit and special acoustic sets by the wonderful musicians listed in the flyer below.  Quan Luv (A.L.I.E.N. & Visions.18) will also bring his Kafe King creation to the event, which guarantees some surprises and fun stuff will be in the mix for sure. Now here’s the best part…

This event is a charity event as we’ll be linking up with TOYS OF HOPE and remembering those in need.

This event is sure to be special, as it’s clearly jam-packed with good stuff, and we did hear through the grapevine that if good ole Saint Nick happens to survive the apocalypse, he’ll be swinging by as well…NOT TO MISS!!

Last month you may have caught, with a small assortment of special Extra Butter releases for Black Friday, that we were in full celebration of our 5 Year Anniversary! The small assortment will morph into a barrage after this year is all said and done. So with the #5 in mind, we now present to you our 5 Year 5 Panel Caps!!

Both pics teased on our instagram, you now get a better picture of the caps and their details. First up is our “Movie Snack” 5-panel. Anyone that knows us knows that we stay snackin’, but especially during movie nights. These caps also come in 2 variations featuring our brand new EBAA logo, available in either black or white.

The other hat we’ll be releasing is called the “Red Carpet” 5-panel. Our famous “Official Selection” direct embroidery in gold, with a plushed out, velvet brim. The “Red Carpet” treatment is a concept we hold near and dear to our hearts, and we’re so excited to finally have executed this onto a 5-panel cap we feel came out super buttery!!

The “Movie Snack” & “Red Carpet” 5-panels will be available in-store and online on Saturday, December 15th.

If you were locked in like should have been to all that was surrounding our 5 Year Anniversary this past Friday, along with our annual Black Friday sale, the announcement that we would be bringing in Nike SB’s, and our special 5 Year Anniversary releases – such as our first sock drops and the popular “Movie Toon” tee and hoody we did with Mike Jones; you may have missed an interview that also went viral that day that we did with the good people at A Sporting Life.

Titled “From B-boys to Entrepreneurs”, my science-lab partner, Bernie (Bam) and I had the pleasure of chatting with A Sporting Life about sneakers, and Extra Butter’s roots and current path. It’s a unique opportunity to take a break from the hustle and bustle, to not only stop and reflect on our makings, but also share insight with our growing audience. An audience, who over the years we’ve come to realize share many of the same dreams, drives, and lifestyle that we do.

Happy Birthday to us!! I still can’t believe it’s been 5 years, but beyond that – I can’t believe we got to work with Mike Jones!! We became a fan of his work as the art director for Mishka, and over the years have fell in love with many of his designs. A particular favorite of his work, was whenever he’d spell out the name of a company, brand, or event with each letter being illustrated in his own cartoon creation that stayed in sync with the theme.

To celebrate our 5 Year Anniversary further, we had the pleasure of working w/ Mike Jones on our own “Extra Butter” Movie Toon design, with each letter in our name being movie-inspired of course! I’ve been geeked over this for weeks, as this was as fun to work on as the cartoons look themselves, and is a good showing of what our shop’s about, AND the fun we’re about to have as we celebrate our 5th! Big buttery thanks to Mike Jones – who you all should follow and love in addition to his site, his twitter and instagram as well!!

If you’ve been paying attention, and you always should around this time of year – you’d know our 5 Year Anniversary is coming up this Friday, and we always have a buttery trick or two up our sleeves!

We’ve done a teaser pic on our instagram of one pair, and our friend Dallas Penn tweeted his “Official Selection” socks to go smooth with his Air Jordan GMP pack. But here they are for you to get a better look at.

The “Official Selection” is a classic logo in our black/gold standard, while the “EB Clapboard Logo” received the NY treatment, which are being especially well received with the hot start the Knicks have gotten off to!

Both pairs will be releasing in-store and online on Black Friday, November 23rd in celebration of our 5 Year Anniversary!!

For tonight’s #FrightFilmFriday showing of “The Beyond”, hosted by the one and only – Lamour Supreme, we are releasing a limited edition Extra Butter x Lamour Supreme “Torch of Doom” t-shirt!!

Lamour being a torch bearer himself, recently winning “Best New Artist” at NY’s Comic Con last week, takes the torch and brings us to a time of doom! Joining forces with us for our annual October horror movie extravaganzas, the iconic “torch lady” character joins the apocalypse and leads us into the doomsday generation! Our history with being a part of the faithful Lamour Supreme cult dates back to the shop’s inception and we couldn’t be grinning more about this new “Torch of Doom” design that we will wear proudly.

Want to join the cult? The “Torch of Doom” t-shirt will be available in-store in limited quantity at tonight’s movie screening. We will follow up with an even more limited online release in our webstore on Monday, October 22nd.

So by now you know that we are the champions, having surely watched our “Everyday Champions” video at least a couple hundred times, psyching yourself up for the Olympic games, and getting ready to go for the gold!

Our athletic (and eating) prowess caused us to move at the speed of light, so in case you didn’t get a good look at the t-shirts, you can now in this presentation below. The t-shirts and tank tops are all soft cotton and printed in the U.S.A., basically ‘Murica!! They feature our take on vintage to present Olympic-inspired imagery as well as our own patriotic and olympic champion-like ways.

The collection is NOW available in-store and will releasing online in our webstore on Friday, July 27th at 12:00pm noon. Just in time for opening ceremony….let the games begin!!
