EB’s Staff Picks: Dan’s “Official Selections”
So its my turn to take a crack at this. Strategically waiting patiently until I felt I could assemble the best outfit so far. And I think I’ve done that here! Kickin’ it off with the “Handsome Devils Tee” by G.P.P.R., this tee is definitely a favorite of mine from their new Holiday line. The dark green with the vintage looking black type really conveys a sick retro army style. The black lettering is executed perfectly with the sophisticated script design, and everyone knows that black and that army green always work well together.
The tee is awesome, but as we approach the winter weather, it’s a necessity to bring a jacket with you, and what better one than this “Harrow Twill Jacket” by G.P.P.R. The cheetah print was very prominent in this seasons G.P.P.R. line and what can you expect when it looks sick on every piece and was executed perfectly. The brown leather collar and its military-like cut, really make this a unique piece that works so well with the tee underneath. And for those of you who may be a little reluctant to cop a piece with this much cheetah, I gotta say, once you try it on and check it out, you’ll be sold!
Moving down to the pants, the “Les Twill Trousers” are yet another G.P.P.R. piece, and are probably one of my favorite fits when it comes to pants. The tapered leg and the removable pockets on the back add a creative and stylish element that I haven’t seen on pants before. The khaki color works well with the cheetah print that reveals when you cuff the leg opening, and it goes perfectly with both top pieces.
Continuing down to the feet, we got the Air Max 90 Premium with the “Boss” Stance socks. Being a huge Air Max fan, these Cargo Khaki/Steel Green 90′s were a no-brainer for this outfit. And of course it doesn’t just stop at the sneakers, lately it’s been all about the socks, and these Stance socks are no exception! As a signature model to renowned skater – Andrew Reynolds, these are super comfortable with padding and cushion needed for skating or just staying relaxed throughout the day. Not to mention the color way is awesome too! A vintage striped sweater comes to mind and looks amazing with the 90′s.
At the top of the outfit we have the Only NY “Pines Polo Hat” in burgundy, a sick color with a “Pines” logo which is one of my favorites from Only. The brass buckle on the back is a nice quality accent that really works well with the over all color and feel of the hat.
Lastly we have the Canby Shwood sunglasses made from “santos mahogany” wood. It’s good to see a new style make its way to the shop and it’s even better that it’s these. The stain on these is ridiculous and creates a subtle red hit that works well with the Only hat, while the brownish tone also compliments the cheetah prints of the jacket and pants nicely as well. So there are my picks, and I gotta say that you should just come in and get the outfit as a whole because I can’t promise that pieces this hot are gonna stick around for long!

No commentsG.P.P.R: Fall 2012 (continued)
With some of the Fall pieces first dropping last week (featured here), we were excited to get in another batch of G.P.P.R. goods in to stack our showroom with.
Every t-shirt here is an absolute banger, and I can’t say enough about the classiness and comfort of both colors of the “Lou Speckled Crewneck”. As leaves start to fall and the temperature starts to chill, I’m finding the need for a jacket, exactly like this “Tracy Woven Jacket” to be copped immediately. Luckily it is here…to enjoy in all it’s waxed cotton and buttery brown leather patched glory.

No commentsG.P.P.R. – Sid Button Down & Ruben Bowtie
With the summer winding down, these 2 pieces from G.P.P.R. will make sure you stay fresh for the remaining days. A perfect complement to the chambray button down, the denim bowtie really adds to this contemporary look. Having an almost retro style, the leopard print of the shirt really breaks away and adds a modern, updated feel to the look. Stop by and pick these up while the summers still here!

No commentsG.P.P.R. Spring ’12
If you’ve been in the shop over the past year or so you’ve probably heard me talk to you about how G.P.P.R. is not playing around, and they’re about to bring some seriously amazing pieces in 2012. Not that they didn’t last year, G.P.P.R. has quickly become a shop favorite and we’re excited what the lineup for 2012 has to offer.
For Spring, we received 2 pieces so far – The Gordie, which features a brown suede pocket, and the Bad Company Oxford short sleeve shirt. I wanted to share a small taste as we anxiously await the rest of the delivery.
If you’ve been following the brand, you should know that G.P.P.R. has put the world onto an amazing band, one I’ve been obsessing over – Shadows on Stars. I realize I just missed them play a show in NYC which has been the cause of my own inner torture this past week. In addition to the G.P.P.R. styled video for “Punk Kids”, they also have a video for “Now You’re Mine”, which I’ve found infectiously joyful and endearing. I had those visuals in mind when the 2 pieces came in and alas…the photos you’ll see below. But check out the video below and get down here to fall in line with the G.P.P.R. movement!

No commentsG.P.P.R. Fall ’11 Tees – a closer look
I wanted to highlight the t-shirts from G.P.P.R. Fall ’11 collection, as some of them can be seen in the Extra Butter “Official Selections” Fall 2011 Parts 1, 2, and 3, but let’s take a closer look….
Without a graphic by graphic description, you’ll see from the close ups that the Gentlemen, Philosopher, Pervert, Rebel-aesthetic communicated rather well.
The G.P.P.R. Brotherhood also present some audio/visuals that align right as well. Check out the video for Shadows on Stars – “Punk Kids” below.

No commentsExtra Butter “Official Selections” Fall 2011 – Part 3
The trilogy is complete. Part 3 of our “Official Selections” Fall 2011 lookbook, finishes up the shop’s select offerings as a follow up to last week’s Part 1 & Part 2.
For Part 3…we went back to our core, to bring you the most “butter” photo series of the 3. With today being Halloween, which was celebrated all month long with a variety of horror-movie nights events – it’s only fitting that we present the looks with our friends masked up and ready to start a scare!
Here’s a few notes on pieces by each brand I feel deserves a little extra attention:
- 10 Deep “Gretzky” long sleeve – worn by my fellow die-hard hockey fan Andrew, the piece brings fleece comfort to the classic styling of a hockey jersey – a look that has always stood out over time. And, thanks to 10 Deep – it’s that time again!
- Rocksmith’s “Militia Hooded Buttondown” – I chose to wear myself as a crazy Captain Bald Eagle concoction. The piece is colored in that olive color perfect for this time of year and is constructed in a tough ripstop material as rugged as the song the shirt is named after, Gangstarr’s “Militia”.
- G.P.P.R. absolutely nails it with this “McQueen Jacket”, producing the perfect camouflage piece for the season. And Kenroy wore a mask with it that was a little too good of a fit.
- The “Mishka” pieces are always near and dear to us, and I think D and K-swissy sported them in the bizarro way they should be. K-Swissy wore the ultra-fiended for “Keep Watch Leggings”, while D took the “Death Adder Varsity Jacket” to a whole other level.
- Amongst Friends debuted the “First String Varsity Jacket” this season leaving many with an “Oh S—!!” reaction when people have seen it up close and personal. Alex gave this piece a try, finding it to personify the essence of classiness that is Amongst Friends.
- While a few stellar Publish pants are seen on many of the models, the piece I’m finding essential to everyone’s wardrobe is the “Graft Camo Jacket”, which acts as a light jacket or layering over-shirt. Our boy Washington brings this together quite nice as Mr. V for Vendetta!
This is the last of the Fall looks and we urge you to give the pieces that have caught your eye a try before these all disappear. Let’s see what combos you guys can put together, and feel free to come and try these on with a mask as well just for the hell of it.

No commentsExtra Butter “Official Selections” Fall 2011 – Part 2
Part 2 is here!! Or should I say Part Deux…
The followup to “Official Selections” Fall 2011 – Part 1. This time around we’re exposing you to the other side of the game, bringing out the more casual and mature (or is it grown and sexy?) side of street-wear. Whatever it may be, this lookbook features a ton of dopeness curated by Extra Butter for your viewing pleasure.
No matter the occasion, these everyday Fall selections are guaranteed to keep you looking like the accomplished and morally advanced individuals you are. Yet again helping you to achieve these distinguished looks are the likes of Amongst Friends, G.P.P.R., Mishka, Publish, Rocksmith, and 10Deep. You should know that when these brands combine, they form like a street-wear donning Voltron, giving you a complete and unique style that never fails.
