My Pet Monsters that is… We just got in yet another must have knick-knack that’s brought to you by our buddies at Mishka. Since everyone ate up the last Keep Watch New Era Keychains drop the guys at Mishka decided to flip one of their most iconic fitted caps, the “My Pet Monster” Keep Watch, into a New Era Fitted Keychain.

Back in 2008 Mishka released one of their popular Keep Watch New Era caps that was themed after the cult classic 1980′s TV and plush toy My Pet Monster. This quickly became one of my favorite Keep Watches and a top seller for the brand. But since that cap is long gone by now Mishka has re-released the eye catching colorway in a pocket monster sized keychain.

And for all you kiddies that might be a little too young to fully enjoy all of the nostalgic 1980′s Toys-to-TV Show marketing ploys you can just check out the video below to see what inspired the cap.

The new Mishka Spring 2 collection is in, and if you remember last Spring we teamed up with NYC B-boy superhero’s “BREAKS KRU” to shoot our own lookbook of the gear…

Well it’s spring again and to showcase Mishka’s latest drops we decided to bring back Breaks Kru’s flexible phenom (Manila Folder), and Mishka enthusiast – Suitkace!!

Have a look at Suitkace repping the assortment and KEEP WATCH on the blog, we’ll be teaming up with Suitkace again soon enough!

The weather’s finally warming up and to help welcome in this Spring we just got in a few key pieces from one of our favorite brands, Mishka (Мишка)! We locked in and scooped up only our favorite tee’s, caps and crews from the first delivery from this years Spring collection and Mishka Exclusives.

Some of these pieces include a capsule collection of the trademark Keep Watch logo which features the same Cement Elephant print pattern that is featured in the Air Jordan III’s. And with all three of the original Air Jordan Cement III’s being retroed this year this might not be one to sleep on. Also found in the Mishka Exclusives drop we got in the re-release of the Mishka x T&B “Bass” New Era cap which first dropped last Summer, and like a lot of other Mishka gear, quickly became a favorite Lil Wayne.

King of the Beach was my summer anthem for 2010, and even as the warm weather waned away, Wavves was there to keep the vibe going. Wavves is a band based out of Cali making some straight-up fun music filled with loud, catchy jams. If you happened to see  Wavves around or saw any press pictures, you’ve probably noticed lead Nathan Williams proudly sporting a Mishka snapback. As this already established the band and brand acknowledging each other, it could have also been a hint for this current collaboration. Mishka and Wavves opt for the original Starter cap as a base, a choice that you could say matches the Wavves sound- known to have its nostalgic vibrations. P.S. this is a Mishka Exclusive… so whether you’re a fan, happen to smirk at a fully embroidered weed leaf featured on the side, or just happen to like the classic white-red-blue color-up, jump on it!

Here comes Mishka again with even more exclusives… and January isn’t even over yet, lucky us! Now if you’re a fan of fixed gear bikes then it’s probably safe to bet that you are also a fan of John Prolly. The leader of Mishka’s D.A.R.T. cycling team and the avid pedal pusher has his blog Prolly Is Not Probably which is can probably be found bookmarked in every bike rider and biking aficionado’s web browser all across the globe. So with all this whoopla around him it’s no wonder why Mishka gave Prolly his own New Era cap.

But not only did we get the New Era we also managed to snag up the Prolly Viking t-shirts in both black and white as well. But like all Mishka exclusives products are limited so don’t sleep on these, otherwise the Prolly Viking might just haunt your dreams!

Escape from New York. Whether you’ve seen the movie or not, this new Mishka exclusive beanie featuring a Cyco-Simonized Statue of Liberty standing in front of the easily recognizable NY skyline should be enough of a reason to be interested. I really want a Cyco Simon Statue of Liberty toy now…

We also received a New Era exclusive which ignores any mastery the Dutch may have and identifies these men as mavens of the Brooklyn guild. A well executed flip on Dutch Masters Cigars, with an added gray satin lining on the inside to add a lil’ something extra.

The Mishka “Keep Watch” New Era fitted is a modern day classic. In my opinion, it is the streetwear equivalent to a navy Yankees fitted, an icon that is good no matter what, on any occasion.

That icon is now available as a keychain! A scaled down Mishka “Keep Watch” New Era fitted, can now be hooked up on your belt or bag loops, or give your keys some company…Kudos to Mishka and New Era for bringing out something new, fun, and exciting!

It’s that time of the year again! During October you can expect us to spook things up a bit with some horror movie nights at the shop leading up to Halloween. With that in mind, what can be better than a new sinister batch of Mishka to arrive? A 2nd delivery of Fall goods that, we of course had to have a little fun with and put together a lookbook of what pieces we brought in.

The photo set plays on the “DEATH” theme seen on many of the pieces in the line. We brought in the photography talents of our friend Doc Munz, and also worked with Jacqueline Valega again, a student at the Tom Savini Special Make Up Effects School. She orchestrated our…beautification process, and provided her own hand-made Were-cat mask inspired by Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”.

In addition to the “DEATH” theme, the unparalleled Mishka graphic tee assortment features 3 pieces by our friend L’amour Supreme. You’ll notice his infamous Cyco Simon helmet that resides in Mishka’s Brooklyn  shop in a massive print on a tee. There’s also the “Metal Priestess” (purple) and “Irreversible Binomial” (royal blue), that are 2 shop favorites already.

The Mishka Fall ’10 1st Delivery came right before our last weekend of summer. We got decked out in the new gear and headed down the street to 7-11 to eat some junk food, cool out, and close the summer out.

In addition to the graphic tees and assortment of hats, there is also some other key pieces for when the weather starts to turn. Take a look at the photos and be sure to come through while things are still here (got pretty wiped out this weekend).

“Here it is the groove, slightly transformed. Just a bit of break from the norm”…

Summer, summer, summertime indeed!  With summer collections hitting the shop around the same time, we decided to get the gang together for yet another little lookbook/photoshoot. This time around we picked “Official Selections” from the new 10 Deep, Amongst Friends, Mishka, and Only NY summer collections, and spent a typical Extra Butter day enjoying the weather in the new gear, and playing around with the camera of course.

The photos were done by our very own, and newly graduated, Alex. I just want to take the time to congratulate young Alex on his elementary High School graduation, and even more so for his acceptance into F.I.T.! There was never any doubt of that though was there. I mean, have you seen his portfolio!?!? Other young selvage cats are simply not on his level…Now if only we could close up the shop to bombard you with cheers and jeers at your graduation ceremony Friday, CONGRATS, jerk! And sincere thanks as always to everyone who helped out!
