New Nike SB Dunk Arrivals

June 06th, 2013 | Category: New Arrivals,Nike SB

Personally, every time I see the the arrival of those gold and black Nike SB boxes at the shop, I get excited. Always delivering something unique, Nike SB’s color palette is always something different that comes together nicely against their classic silhouettes. Speaking of classic Nike SB silhouettes, it doesn’t get more classic than their dunk lows, mids and highs which is why its really great when all 3 arrive in one delivery.
Starting with the lows, these deep blue and yellow kicks have a Simpsons feel to them. But in all seriousness, the nubuck upper has a great shine that can almost be passed as leather at first glance, and the green “Nike SB” hit on the tongue is a great color break and gives you a chance to break out that spare pair of green laces.
Looking at the mids, the all ripstop upper is a an interesting touch and something that should be expected from Nike SB as experimenting with different materials is something they’ve always done. The bright blue and white sole creates real old school look, and the mid strap is always a great touch, and I’m glad it looks like its back for good.
Finally we have the high top, with a dope pebbled leather upper and red swoosh, these highs are a similar colorway to a low we had a few months back. The nylon mesh on the heel piece adds some great contrast to a single colored upper, while the red sole accents the swoosh perfectly. And for those who like to lace your pair a little low, but hate when the lace loops begin to droop, these highs are done up with red hits on the inside of those flaps adding a subtle detail that really sets these off.
It’s hard to pick a favorite from pictures, and everyone knows almost every sneaker looks better on, so take a trip down and try on a pair of these rad SB’s.

May Nike SB Dunk assortment

May 07th, 2013 | Category: Brands,New Arrivals,Nike SB

With the Nike SB summer collection making it’s noise a bit louder these days, it’s nice to bring it back to SB line favorites – the Dunks. We recently received 3 beauties in all 3 silhouettes – low, mid, and high.

The Dunk Low in medium grey/university red is a clean summer shoe with sweet suede upper. The Dunk Mid, has once again made it’s return with it’s strap (that should have never left), and comes in a bold team red/rugged orange mixing in suede, leather, and canvas. And lastly, the Dunk High in dark atomic teal/black/wolf grey is clearly of the original Dunk color blocking in a colorway we all wish came out way long ago…but are glad it’s here now!

Nike Stefan Janoski PR – “Digi Floral Camo”

May 03rd, 2013 | Category: Brands,New Arrivals,Nike SB

You know what it is…that “Flammo”! Industry heads like to refer to the trending madness that is floral & camo print as a hybrid as “flammo”. The floral and camo print gets a “digi” type effect to it causing the print to look a bit pixelated, but gorgeous nonetheless.

I’ve probably used the term “quintessential summer shoe” already a few times on this blog, but how could anyone disagree here. Love having Nike SB and this “Digi Floral Camo” Janoski is just another piece of evidence pointing to them having a super strong year ahead!

The Nike Stefan Janoski PR “Digi Floral Camo” are available now and in-store only.

Nike SB “Concord” Dunk Pro Low

April 19th, 2013 | Category: Brands,New Arrivals,Nike SB

Since the re-release of the “Space Jam” SB Dunk Low’s back in 2011, people have been speculating about future Jordan inspired SB’s, and now they finally have an answer! The Nike SB Dunk Low “Concord” is (needless to say) inspired by the Jordan 11 “concord”, an iconic sneaker in not just the world of Jordans but all sneakers in general.

Featuring eye catching Jordan 11 signatures like the smooth patent leather, bright white ballistic nylon (with matching round rope laces), and my personal favorite aspect, an extremely icy soul with a concord Nike SB logo right in the center. Clearly these do their inspiration justice, and are a must cop for any fan of dope sneakers.

Nike SB “Concord” Dunk Pro Low releases Saturday 4/20.

Nike SB Dunk Low “SPoT”

March 22nd, 2013 | Category: Brands,New Arrivals,Nike SB

As a part of the Skate Park of Tampa’s 20th anniversary, Nike SB has collaborated with professional skate legend and artist, Lance Mountain to create a unique Dunk Low, paying homage to one of the rawest skate parks out there. Housing two of the few respected skate contests yearly, the Tampa AM and the Tampa Pro, the Skate Park of Tampa – “SPoT” has a special place in the hearts of all skaters. Witnessing the festivities whether it be chucking eggs and mud during the pre-contest mud race, or actually viewing the years pros and AM’s rip the contest up, it’s definitely a yearly highlight in the world of skateboarding.

And lets not for get about Lance Mountain. Being a legend and one of the original members of the Bones Brigade, Lance’s career as a professional skater continued to grow long past those days, as he can still rip a pool whenever he feels like it. Through the years, Lance’s art work has become a part of his skate scene as well, expanding onto board graphics and t-shirts through out his career.
That being said, who better to pay homage to a skate park legend other than another legend. Lance’s classic stick figure-esque, cartoons have taken over the entire upper of this sneaker – one is even rockin’ the Tampa crown on the insole.

The unique gloss each figure has, really makes the shoe pop when the light hits them, revealing the somewhat hidden, black on black characters. Topping it off with the metallic silver, leather swoosh which really accents this Tiffany-like color way. Whether your a fan of Lance Mountain, the Skate Park of Tampa, skateboarding, or just dope kicks, these Nike SB Dunk Lows, much like the park they’re paying homage to, are definitely a raw and unique piece of the culture.

The Nike Dunk SB Low Pro “SPoT” releases Friday, March 22nd – IN-STORE ONLY!

Nike SB – BHM, St. Patrick’s Day, Janoski’s…

March 06th, 2013 | Category: Brands,New Arrivals,Nike SB

Still celebrating Nike SB’s intro into the shop, we received 3 new styles we’re pretty excited about!

The first being the Nike Dunk Low Pro SB – “BHM”, another Black History Month tribute designed by SB team rider – Theotis Beasley. The look of the shoe encompasses a Pan-African flag look with the color choices on the upper. Multi-colored Nike brand read on the back and an ice sole round out another classic SB Dunk Low.

For festivities coming in a few weeks, the Nike Dunk High Pro SB sports the look of “St. Patrick’s Day”. No surprises or pot of gold here, just your basic green and gold on some nice materials in the mix. Sometimes basic is the best way to go, and I’m sure these will be a banger especially with St. Patrick’s Day festivities being rather prominent in our area.

Lastly, we received a new khaki/hyper red color combo on a Stefan Janoski SB. These clean cut kicks show up early so you can take care of your Spring season needs ahead…

Nike SB’s for November…

November 25th, 2012 | Category: Brands,New Arrivals,Nike SB,Now Playing...

I know our previous post definitely got a lot of people excited, I know I was, and still am, I LOVE Nike SB’s! Everyone at the shop is so excited to now be carrying them, and it’s obvious why, Nike SB is dope! Having been a skateboarder for the past 10 years, naturally, I was drawn to SB’s from the first time Gino Ianucci had his black on black SB dunk’s, till now, with a team of the dopest riders. SB’s were the skate shoes that really broke the mold, being both a high performance skate shoe, and looking rad on and off the board, whether you were out filming or just kickin’ it with friends, SB’s kept you fresh and comfortable!

When you think of SB’s whats the first thing you think of? Dunks! and these are no exception. The blue color of both the lows are awesome, the lighter blue as well as the red create a great color scheme and really work well on top of the classic dunk cup-sole. And who doesn’t love the signature fat tongue? And for the highs, well these are my personal favorite, the mint swoosh and sole work so well against that creamy grey color. The varying suede textures of all three of these dunks is a subtle but nice change, help preventing a repetitive feel in all three.

Being a huge Air Max fan as well, the Koston x Herritage combines the best of both worlds. Having minimal stitching on the toe cap, these are not going to wear as fast as other skate shoes, and the bright neon yellow patches, that hold the aesthetics of the classic Nike Air Max 90. Those pieces really pop against the all black upper. Eric Koston is the first rider to bring the “lunar” technology to a skate shoe, with the signature lunar-ridged insole providing all the support and cushion needed to keep you pushing, relaxed and comfortable. The black wave on the mid sole is also a familiar feature on Koston’s signature models and actually originates from his love for the wavy pattern on the Air Jordan 11.

The Janoski is definitely another ground breaking SB as far as being accepted to the heights of Dunks in the sneaker community if not more so than in the skateboarding community. With these two color ways, there’s no question why. The camo color way is amazing and well executed and really works well on the thin canvas upper on top of their signature vulcanized sole. The waxed cotton laces really add a nice quality to this shoe, a touch not seen often in skate shoes. The dark green ones go great with the copper-like swoosh. The dark-soft green is complimented nicely with its thick grainy canvas. Being one of the best skate shoes and one of the best shoes to lounge around in, these are expected to move fast.

Take a look at the photos below and definitely make a trip down to the shop and check out the newest brand to our family, NIKE SB!!
