NSW Kobe 8 Lifestyle LE – “Gorge Green”

June 15th, 2013 | Category: Brands,Nike

Nike Sportswear (NSW) has been doing a lot of lifestyle oriented interpretations of some of today’s premiere basketball sneakers recently, the latest being this Kobe 8 “George Green”.  The NSW lifestyle sneakers always use some pretty cool materials and the horse hair utilization on the snake print upper is a perfect example. Plus the waxed black laces and off white mid-sole add to that lifestyle feel, making these an ideal everyday pair while still standing out with the unique execution.

Nike KD V Elite – “Team Orange”

June 13th, 2013 | Category: Brands,Nike

This Saturday (June 15th), we have a lot of significant sneakers dropping, these KD V Elite’s in team orange is one of them. The bright and loud colors we’ve come to expect from KD’s are clearly evident in this pair as well, but definitely not over the top. The black carbon fiber hit on the heel is a nice color break in contrast to the the yellows, and blues that are predominate on the hyperfuse upper.

While most people look at the KD V as a life style, style oriented sneaker (and they’re right), often people over look what this sneaker was designed to do, BALL! And if the rain ever stops, be sure to attack the courts in these Elites.

Nike Dunk Low PRM SP “Viotech”

June 07th, 2013 | Category: Brands,New Arrivals,Nike

If you’ve been into kicks for a minute now, tomorrow is a big day, and hopefully a sign of things to come. With retro’s usually being more Air Max and athlete friendly, a regular old Dunk returning…well that shouldn’t be anything special should it?? It should.

Just by looking below, one might say the Nike Dunk Low “Viotech” was ‘ahead of it’s time‘…for it’s bold and multi-color blocked appearance. But, this shoe was actually right on time with sneaker world beginning to erupt and forming much of the culture that has only grown even larger now.

This was before the SB’s and before all the fancy technology, but what it did have in it’s corner was the always exciting “co.jp” tag to it. Abbreviation for “concept of Japan” – special colorways created by Nike’s overseas counterparts were always created with colorways often unseen, as anything “co.jp” became a collector’s must-have. We can only hope we start to see releases from this renaissance-era for Nike be on it’s way back (especially a certain “viotech” holy grail of mine)!

**Bonus – I remember loving this photo all over NikeTalk back in the day of Robin Williams in the “Viotechs”

The Nike Dunk Low PRM SP “Viotech” releases Saturday, June 8th.

Women Air Max 90s hyperfuse

June 02nd, 2013 | Category: Brands,New Arrivals,Nike

Another pair of hyperfuse Air Max’s have made their way to the shop, and this time it’s the 90s getting the treatment. Similar to the Air Max 1′s that dropped a few weeks back, these 90′s have bright, translucent colors that blend together to create different shades. The purples and the pinks work nice with the blue hits through out and make them an over all dope color for the ladies looking for some solid kicks.

Nike Barkley Posite Max ‘Splatter’

June 01st, 2013 | Category: Brands,New Arrivals,Nike

With the Phoenix Suns Barkley Posite releasing only 2 weeks ago, we have another colorway on its way, and I don’t think anyone’s complaining. Featuring a metallic silver posite color, with hits of “Gamma Blue” speckles throughout the black, nubuck upper, as well as on the air bag, which is a really nice touch.

For a predominately silver and black sneaker, these Barkely Posite Max’s have a lot of color added to them with just this speckled pattern, hits on the laces and lace loops and translucent blue sole, and it’s nice to see color utilized in differently from a shoes traditional color-blocking.

Nike Barkley Posite Max ‘Splatter’ releases Saturday, June 1st. First come, first served.

Nike Flyknit Chukka – Tarp Green/Total Crimson

May 31st, 2013 | Category: Brands,New Arrivals,Nike

A lot of people have been going crazy for all the new Flyknit and Flyknit Chukkas lately, and I’m one of them. And this new tarp green and total crimson pair is just too good with the neutral colored and textured Flyknit upper which really utilizes all the different shades and colors woven into it. And the bright crimson Lunarlon sole adds a nice contrast to the tarp green laces and tongue on the upper. I could go on and on about what makes this shoe gorgeous, but in this case, the pictures really speak for them selves…

Nike Flyknit Chukkas release Saturday, June 1st. First come, first served.

Nike Air Max Sunset Pack

May 31st, 2013 | Category: Brands,New Arrivals,Nike,Now Playing...

It’s been a while now since I’ve been hyping people up on this pack. While we’ve seen plenty of Air Max’s roll in the past few months. Mostly told through it’s classic and original series, a refreshing story has been the “EM” implementation of “engineered mesh”. Bringing added comfort and a super clean aesthetic, the “EM” treatment has been well received and refreshing.

Introducing the “Sunset Pack” – what everyone feels is the best usage of the “EM” thus far. The “Sunset Pack” draws on beautiful summer imagery of being by the coast and watching the sun set, something we’ve grown quite fond of being in Long Island. The “sunset” execution is done with a gradient fade that crosses from red to orange to yellow.

The Air Max “Sunset Pack”, which includes the Air Max 1, Air max 90, Air Max 180, Air Max 95, and Air Max 97 releases Saturday, June 1st.

Nike Air Force Max 2013 – “Fire Red”

May 30th, 2013 | Category: Brands,New Arrivals,Nike

The Air Force Max 2013 has received the “fire red” treatment and man it looks good. Featuring a solid nubuck upper, these Air Force Max’s are super smooth and the metallic breaks on the strap really pop against the single colored upper. Some people are dropping the “Toro Bravo” title onto these which seems natural as many await the release of the Jordan IV in a similar colorway.
