So its my turn to take a crack at this. Strategically waiting patiently until I felt I could assemble the best outfit so far. And I think I’ve done that here! Kickin’ it off with the “Handsome Devils Tee” by G.P.P.R., this tee is definitely a favorite of mine from their new Holiday line. The dark green with the vintage looking black type really conveys a sick retro army style. The black lettering is executed perfectly with the sophisticated script design, and everyone knows that black and that army green always work well together.

The tee is awesome, but as we approach the winter weather, it’s a necessity to bring a jacket with you, and what better one than this “Harrow Twill Jacket” by G.P.P.R. The cheetah print was very prominent in this seasons G.P.P.R. line and what can you expect when it looks sick on every piece and was executed perfectly. The brown leather collar and its military-like cut, really make this a unique piece that works so well with the tee underneath. And for those of you who may be a little reluctant to cop a piece with this much cheetah, I gotta say, once you try it on and check it out, you’ll be sold!

Moving down to the pants, the “Les Twill Trousers” are yet another G.P.P.R. piece, and are probably one of my favorite fits when it comes to pants. The tapered leg and the removable pockets on the back add a creative and stylish element that I haven’t seen on pants before. The khaki color works well with the cheetah print that reveals when you cuff the leg opening, and  it goes perfectly with both top pieces.

Continuing down to the feet, we got the Air Max 90 Premium with the “Boss” Stance socks. Being a huge Air Max fan, these Cargo Khaki/Steel Green 90′s were a no-brainer for this outfit. And of course it doesn’t just stop at the sneakers, lately it’s been all about the socks, and these Stance socks are no exception! As a signature model to renowned skater – Andrew Reynolds, these are super comfortable with padding and cushion needed for skating or just staying relaxed throughout the day. Not to mention the color way is awesome too! A vintage striped sweater comes to mind and looks amazing with the 90′s.

At the top of the outfit we have the Only NY “Pines Polo Hat” in burgundy, a sick color with a “Pines” logo which is one of my favorites from Only. The brass buckle on the back is a nice quality accent that really works well with the over all color and feel of the hat.

Lastly we have the Canby Shwood sunglasses made from “santos mahogany” wood. It’s good to see a new style make its way to the shop and it’s even better that it’s these. The stain on these is ridiculous and creates a subtle red hit that works well with the Only hat, while the brownish tone also compliments the cheetah prints of the jacket and pants nicely as well. So there are my picks, and I gotta say that you should just come in and get the outfit as a whole because I can’t promise that pieces this hot are gonna stick around for long!

Since Amy started working here, she has been a steady and needed influence on me to go get a bike. I whine enough about the lack of physical activity and with days of better weather ahead, plus plenty of trails to ride on Long Island, I finally made my purchase.

Amy had the idea of calling some of our friends that ride around town and to the shop to go for an afternoon ride and while she snapped some photos of the new ONLY NY collection we’ve brought in. We’ve got the usual assortment of Made in the U.S.A. tees and caps, but there’s some other fine goodies like backpacks, and other items, (available in our webstore)  like travel pouches, lightweight crewnecks, hoodies, etc.

The collection is moving as fast as I can on my new speedy bike, so don’t miss out on picking up the pieces you got your eye on. And, feel free to join us after hours this summer as we’ll be making a habit of riding around the surrounding trails and to our favorite places to eat!

After a short hiatus one of our favorite brands, ONLY NY, is back on our shelves with their Holiday collection. Now for those of you know who don’t know ONLY NY product doesn’t linger around too long. With that in mind we made sure to ante up with a hearty stock of tee’s, crewnecks, hoodies, snapbacks & beanies for all of you ONLY fans out there!

As usual we’ve got a nice array of ONLY snapbacks which all have a neat blend of classic color-schemes. This season’s collection included a few new style and materials, such as the all corduroy Script caps, and the old school long-bill Sportsman caps. With the cold weather right around the corner be sure to keep you noggin toasty with all of the ONLY NY Subway, 1997, and Uptown Wildlife beanies this Winter.

And since we got in a big batch of varieties for the latest ONLY tees, crewnecks and hoodies, be sure to check out the animations before to see which piece catches your eye the most. But like I said, they never stay around to long, so don’t get caught snoozing on this year’s holiday collection.

So check this out, sometime back around ’03 my sister and I went on vacation to California. I recently found some old photos from the trip and realized I shot them with a Lomography Supersampler, which made for some sick photos. I’m not really a camera person at all. I couldn’t tell you much about any kind of camera with the exception of me liking them and knowing how to press the button that takes the picture. Having said that, I do know all the products I’ve ever seen from Lomography have made me want to run out to the store to buy them right away. Cool, raw, visual stimulation at it’s best. Click the link in the previous sentence, and see why I feel the company is so unique and brilliant, from their fisheyes, pinholes, and that incredible White Stripes – Diana camera….I want them all!

Fast forward to now where I’ve been sucked into the digital world. I’ve been craving a rewind for myself especially with the summer approaching. Adolescent summers where kids were kids in a less technological world – riding bikes, chasing down the ice cream man, playing games, and even taking photos where you had to wait a while to get the results back. The fellows at ONLY NY, Micah and Julian are photo enthusiasts themselves…and they always leave me inspired to get out there and take more photos when I see their work. For ONLY NY’s latest Spring delivery I felt breaking out my old Supersampler and shooting some of the collection we received would be a fun time, and a bit of that throwback feeling I’ve been looking for.

Yes yes, the ONLY NY Holiday gear has arrived! ONLY consistently dishes out classic pieces each season; items that recognize and assert it’s New York disposition while always maintaining the ONLY aesthetic. This season we see a nice mix between some staple designs and some completely new ones. Some stand-outs include the throwy tee by NYC graffiti writer Cecs and my favorite, the OK tee- bringing it back to the bold flavor of the 80′s and alluding to that Keith Haring quality! Being as excited as we were when the shipment arrived at our door, we decided to head down to RVC lanes and bowl a few games, boasting the new collection and taking some photos in the process. I know what some of you are thinking? Why has it been an o.d. long time since we’ve seen some ONLY NY on the blog?? Well, the answer is – because when we get the shipments it tends to get scooped up and gone before we even break the camera out. And yes, it’s just that freakin’ good. There’s some sprinklings we got in over the weekend and before that are still left that I was determined to let you know about before it all vanished.

“Here it is the groove, slightly transformed. Just a bit of break from the norm”…

Summer, summer, summertime indeed!  With summer collections hitting the shop around the same time, we decided to get the gang together for yet another little lookbook/photoshoot. This time around we picked “Official Selections” from the new 10 Deep, Amongst Friends, Mishka, and Only NY summer collections, and spent a typical Extra Butter day enjoying the weather in the new gear, and playing around with the camera of course.

The photos were done by our very own, and newly graduated, Alex. I just want to take the time to congratulate young Alex on his elementary High School graduation, and even more so for his acceptance into F.I.T.! There was never any doubt of that though was there. I mean, have you seen his portfolio!?!? Other young selvage cats are simply not on his level…Now if only we could close up the shop to bombard you with cheers and jeers at your graduation ceremony Friday, CONGRATS, jerk! And sincere thanks as always to everyone who helped out!
