How does this sound? Red Velvet….the thought of cakes and cupcakes comes to mind right away as one of our favorite delicacies. Even closer to our liking is red velvet rope being synonymous with big movie premier screenings, and red carpet affairs…basically that Extra Butter shhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

So, while it’s highly upsetting these do not come in men’s sizes…there are plenty of ladies who support us so we should grab these up for them as additional Holiday presents. Or, I’m sure they’ll not waste any time and just come grab them themselves…they’re that dope.

Vans is back with a slew of products from their California, Classics, and Surf lines. There’s a lot to choose from here, and a little something for everyone. Let’s take a look…

If you’re looking for the perfect casual everyday shoe this winter, look no further than the brand new Era 59 CA. Made with a wool upper designed for style and warmth and a clean “gris” gray colorway, this shoe would go great with a pair of khakis or black denim pants. Similarly, we have the wool Chukka Boot 69 in the same “gris” colorway. These are definitely winning this winter.

Another new addition to the Vans California collection, the Chukka Peacoat is a bit spiffier than it’s “gris” counterpart. Match these with your favorite winter coat (as the name implies) and you simply can’t lose. The wrap-around anchored button strap is also a nice touch, making the Chukka Peacoat a go-to for all your winter adventures.

Yet another newcomer to the California line, the Chukka Del Barco Decon is extremely nice with a nubuck black upper and vulcanized mid-sole. The wool trim also perfectly compliments the predominately nubuck upper.

Pictured below is a black leather 106 Moc, making its debut for the Vans Classics line.

Last but not least is the newest addition to the Vans Surf collection, the “lark” colored Rata Vulc. These fleeced-lined badboys are ridiculously comfortable. You’ll feel obligated to cop once you try these on, no joke. You owe it to your feet to pick these up this winter.

Reminiscent of the ranch style made popular by Pendleton, the Nordic Chukka Boot in a Brindle colorway is perfect for swagging it out in your matching Christmas sweater at your Granny’s holiday party. Vans California also presents us with two new styles of Switchbacks that are 50% casual skate shoe, 50% outdoor duckboot. With a water-resistant upper and a fleece ortholite insole, these shoes are guaranteed to keep you dry and comfortable throughout the winter. Done in a black and dark navy/cathay spice colorway, you do not want to be without these this season!

In the world of the Vans consumer there seems to be some invisible hard-set lines, there are the Era/Authentic guys, there are Chukka guys, and the Slip-On guys, and these lines are seldom crossed. But these new all denim Vans Halfcabs might blur those line boundaries a bit. The upper of the Halfcabs is composed of a slightly shiny indigo denim which is linked together by white stitching, this blend is reminiscent of an old pair of Marithé et François Girbaud jeans that I had in the late 90′s. Beautiful.

And as a perfect compliment to the denim we have the all suede Wingtip Era in the (tan) Dune colorway. The Wingtip Era is the perfect blend of old fashioned conservative and new school casual and they make for a great 1-2 punch for any wardrobe.

Mmmm…feeling these, and I’m sure most ladies will agree. The Vans Authentic Lo Pros came out in a more traditional leopard pattern and blacked out zebra stripe back in the Spring and sold out super fast…I think it’s safe to predict it will be the same for these. The brown leopard pair below is more on the toned down side, if “toned down” can even be used as an adjective when it comes to anything with leopard print…

We also received a “cheetah” print Authentic Lo Pro that definitely gets wilder with vibrant colors, and a metallic silver weave into the bright pink laces.

Those old school Vans slip-on’s are money during the Summer months, but sometimes the colder weather calls for a little more toughness, enter the Vans Switchback All Weather. This outdoorsy Vans gets the cold weather treatment with a 3M Scotchgard upper along with some heavy duty metal lac hooks and woven laces. The Borwn suede upper looks clean against the Black and bright Yellow accents found throughout the shoe, a really snazzy Fall colorway if I’ve ever seen one.

Whenever this time of year begins to roll around we all tend to get cozied into the idea of warm and comfy clothes. This Fall’s Vans California collection features a great variety of shoes that use an unique blending of materials and that trademark California OrthoLite. With the usage of perforated suedes, waxed canvases, wools and leathers, this year’s Vans California collection seems to provide a very sophisticated tone to the always fun and casual Vans silhouettes.

Today we bring you a new SK8-Hi from Vans, a special make-up they did with the Oregon snowboard outerwear kings at HOLDEN. The brand gives the classic Vans SK8-Hi a premium makeover mixing in waxed canvas and buttery leather along the upper and inside of the shoe.

Mostly blacked out with the exception of the midsole and the interior, the shoe also comes with a Holden x Vans tongue tag that stands out boldly in bright red. You can skate these babies for sure, but you could also clean your next outfit up with a little something premium with these here as well.
