This Friday, Black Friday, we’ll be having a double header of all black everything action. On top of all of the Black Friday festivities that we have planned for this Friday we’ll be having two pretty big sneaker releases. The highly anticipated Air Jordan Retro 3 Black/Cement will finally be available this Friday morning at 9am. Also being released is the latest in the Nike Foamposite series, the Total Air Foamposite Max in the Black/Anthracite colorway is sure to make some noise for this Fall/Winter. AND, just in case you live under a rock from the blogosphere and missed these – our EB Black Friday Premium Snapbacks make for a nice pairing with the shoes below.

Since everyone will be home for the holidays we’re sure that the Black Friday frenzy will be in full effect. So be sure to have those alarm clocks set, we’ll be open 9am sharp!

Upon concepting the third installment of the Air Jordan, designer Tinker Hatfield was challenged by Michael himself with the request of integrating an animal print. Thus, the legendary elephant print was born.

The Black Friday Premium Snapback features rare, 100% genuiine elephant hide, fabricated with the utmost standard of craftsmanship and quality. The elephant symbolizes strength, distinction, and good fortune – traits of a true individual.

The Extra Butter Black Friday Premium Snapbacks are offered in 2 designs – the “EB Clapboard” and “Official Selection”, available for $200 in-store Friday, November 25th. The hats will also be made available in the Extra Butter webstore at 12pm noon of the same day. Only 23 hats were produced in each colorway and comes with an individually numbered card that guarantees it’s authenticity and limited edition.

Unless you’re a hip-hop nerd like myself, you may not be aware of New Jersey’s strong hip-hop lineage. From the late 80′s to the golden age, hip-hop icons such as Queen Latifah, Redman, and Artifacts put New Jeruz (as El Da Sensei likes to say) on the map. Fast-forward to modern day and you will see the same thing happening with the Garden State’s very own art/fashion/hip-hop collective, Jersey Klan, at the forefront.

Last Saturday night Extra Butter was lucky enough to have the Klan (OGM, Moruf, Hoddy, J. Philippe & more) come through for an intimate in-store performance celebrating the release of OGM’s new album, “Kool Kidz of Kolor”. If it wasn’t clear already, these guys are the real deal. Even when rapping in front of a small audience, these guys spit like the entire state of Jersey is on their back, with an energy and passion that seems to be a dying trait in today’s game.

Those who aspire to be in the game should start taking notes, but for now here’s some photographs of the Klan in action.

… and I swear a Metalfinger’s sample never sounded so good! Much respect to the whole crew.

It’s that time of year again folks…year #4 as we team up with our friends and neighbors, Milk & Honey – for our 4th Annual Late Night Dairy Fix!!

With all the holiday sneaker heat rolling in on the blog last week, in addition to the Fall/Winter apparel that was featured in our “Official Selections Fall 2011″ Lookbook (Part 1, 2, & 3), the shop is full of goodies to grab a hold of. For our lady friends who might be unfamiliar, Milk & Honey is only a few stores down and is well stocked with unique dresses, outerwear, jewelry, accessories, and more – so don’t worry about having to sit around while the guys try on shoe after shoe.
