Vans Authentic CA “Brushed Twill” Pack
I look at this pack of Vans below and immediately think – “What shorts WOULDN’T these go perfect with??”. This is the summer move right here. You cannot go wrong in any of these quad flavors – white, pink mist, pale banana, and powder blue.
These Authentics get the “California” treatment, which yes, is all laid back and chill…but what I meant was the premium execution. A fancy, brushed twill upper, brown suede laces, and that addictive cushion-y ortholite insole. You may not know it now, but this will be your go-to shoes for the summer…trust!

No commentsVans Classics Authentic “Speckle”
This is summer radness!! The Vans Authentic, already a staple summer shoe gets dipped in a colorful “speckle” treatment that stir up the best of summer activities in one’s mind. Personally, the bright colors of “blue turquoise” and “rouge red” pairs both send me back to a time playing “Skate or Die” and “T & C Surf Design” on the original Nintendo. Then going outside and not being able to do any of that stuff.
The speckle is also reminiscent of the static-like noise seen on one of the earlier Supreme x Vans collabs, only with this new offering of Authentics, the color choice strays from the primary and into the bright and eye-popping! The laces are speckled, the bottoms are off colored (for you to discover in person), and I love the contrasting colored Vans woven label that sits on the lateral side of the shoe. Tough choice of colors here, I’m assuming most will cop both – high 5′s for those of you that do!

No commentsNike KD IV – Team Orange/Photo Blue
Did you see last night’s Heat vs. Thunder game?! Tell me you wouldn’t want to see Lebron James and crew meet up with Kevin Durant’s OKC Thunder in the Finals. I think this is the year KD takes the Thunder there and is on the biggest stage of them all. The latest pair of KD IV’s we received sport the Thunder colorway, which most of us New Yorkers are already a fan of. The KD IV continue to be one of the strongest overall shoes of the year…let us know if they’re for you!

No commentsNike Air Flow Magenta and Storm Blue colors
One of the surprises from last year that sent retro-heads going crazy was the Nike Air Flows. Another totally unique Nike retro runner that people were hoping would be let back out the vault, and lucky for us prayers were answered.
2 new colorways came in that also feature an intricate weave of colors on the tongue & toe upper. I believe I meant to say 2 BRIGHT colorways as both easily embody that spring fever going on. Super psyched to have these in – limited amounts though, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to holler at us for your pair!

No commentsNike Free Run 3 – Men’s & Women’s
Throughout the years, Nike has brought to the market some highly innovative technology that runners and sneakerheads alike eat up with a passion. From waffle soles, to air bags, shox, lunar…the envelope never ceases to be pushed. I forget how many years ago it was when the “Free” technology was revealed, but the whole “bare foot running” concept and sock-like construction was a huge attraction to me as I was a huge fan of the Nike Presto line.
Nike Free’s took that idea way further, with superior comfort, and the coolest outsole that looked like the keys of a piano being played up a scale as they ran the streets, treadmills, and tracks. The Free Run 3 is one of the most successful and well received “free” models, and the colors we received are just as liberating as the glorious feeling of them on foot.
For men we received the “soar” color and women get the insane “hot punch” flavor that are catching everyone’s eyes.

No commentsNike Air Lava Dome 2.4 – April colorways
With the nice weather that has come upon us, if anything – the outdoor activities should be increased big time. Where we’re from, Long Island is never short of trails and territory just waiting to be explored and run on.
One of my very favorite shoes of the Nike ACG lineage – the Lava Dome 2.4 made it’s comeback last summer in special quickstrike form, but is now back in 2 never before produced colorways that spark nostalgia of the old ACG days. Great materials, with the premium suede usage fused with daring color pops. The great outdoors await…

No commentsKobe VII “Poison Dart Frog” Mint Candy/Black
Leave it to Kobe Bryant to have an Easter sneaker release that doesn’t deal with colorful eggs and fuzzy bunnies. Kobe continues his animalistic ways, this time using the Poison Dart Frog as the inspiration.
The Kobe VII’s black upper gets “mint candy” color mixed in which is on the pastel side and something you may recall seeing in the Easter versions of M&M’s and other seasonal candy. And while that’s all nice and sweet – the poison dart frog, is not. Arrows dipped in this dart frog’s toxic secretions can be used as blow darts that can be rather deadly. Remember that scene in “Apocalypto”?
The Kobe VII “Poison Dart Frog” releases Friday, April 6th

No commentsSome new Huarache’s for April…
What I’ve been hearing a lot around the shop these days is “Yo..Huarache’s will be my shoe for the summer!”. No reason to argue with that, the lightweight, sock-like comfort of the new Huarache Free 2012′s are just screaming to be rocked out in the warm weather.
We received a new “red mahogany” colorway of the Air Huarache Bball 2012. Any shoe colored in the burgundy family has done extremely well, and I see this following suit. The toe receives a mesh treatment and while the red mahogany sits atop the white/black midsole, the shoe’s true character is the hits of “scarlet fire” on the upper.
We also received a new color in the Huarache Free 2012 runner in white/cyber/soar – which is pretty reminiscent of my favorite og huarache of all time, the “scream green”. Go chase the ice cream man down with these…

No commentsNike Air Diamond Turf II “49ers” Varsity Red
Nike pays homage to the team Deion Sanders won his 1st Super Bowl with. This new colorway of the Air Diamond Turf II is dipped in San Fransisco 49ers colors, and might be the best colorway the Diamond Turf II has seen yet. “Prime Time/Neon” Deion Sanders played football, but as you know also was a baseball star as well, for teams like the Cincinnati Reds, which this colorway goes well with too.
The Air Diamond Turf II will be available Friday, April 6th.

No commentsNike Air Max NM – Black/Varsity Red
So yesterday marked the first of April, which means baseball is around the corner! I guess that’s pretty exciting, especially considering my hockey team isn’t headed towards the playoffs and I’m kind of impartial to basketball – although the playoffs will get me going I’m sure. A fresh new start of the baseball season is something to look forward to indeed. The Air Max NM’s are yet another Nike cross-trainer, this one worn by Hideo Nomo back in the day, that have been adorned as a current favorite retro. This colorway is something most people should be accustomed to as opposed to the bright “cyber/soar” colorway that dropped last month…
