BAM’S Birthday – Moon Bounce Wrestling!
Every year without fail, we get together and celebrate our brother BAM’s birthday, and it’s always a blast, and somehow always seems to top the years prior. While other people’s Memorial Day Weekend was spent picking up steals at our Tent Sale, other were getting to the beach for the first time and enjoying the fine weather.
Us…we decided to give our best shot at wrestling and reliving some of our favorite WWF/WWE childhood memories and rumbling in the moon bounce Bernie had for the festivities. Some of the words used to describe how much fun we had doing this was “dream come true“, “cross this off my bucket list“, and even “this was so great, if I were in the situation where I had to work with the Make-A-Wish foundation, this would be my wish!“.
Take a look at the photos below to see some of the action – and if I can say so myself, we looked pretty damn good and might have a future here. Also be sure to check these links to the Masked Man’s Vine to see a nasty “3D“, a psychotic “Mr. Socko“, a smooth and textbook “Moonsault“, and a rather violent “Stone Cold Stunner“.
Happy Birthday Bam!!

No commentsAsics Gel Saga “Kill Bill”
Some shoes that release, just happen to play right into our extra buttery hands. If you know us by now, you’ll know we’re pretty into movies, but Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” happens to be near and dear to our hearts. A cinematic masterpiece on every level I can think of, Kill Bill 1 & 2, nails every thing I love about cinema from it’s characters, story line, genre tributes, soundtrack, and even the film’s fashion and overall look.
A cameo appearance in the film, the Asics Onitsuka “Tai Chi” was the shoe of choice for Uma Thurman’s character The Bride, as she took on her villains and foes. The Asics Gel Saga in yellow/black with bits of blood speckle is a perfect tie back to the film’s heroine, and a must-have for any fans of Kill Bill.
In celebration of this release and the 10 Year Anniversary of Kill Bill, we will begin to tell the story by releasing the shoes in-store – Thursday, May 2nd at 7:00pm and showing the film at the shop at 8:30pm!!
The Asics Gel Saga “Kill Bill” will be available in our online store Friday, May 3rd at 11:00am.

No commentsTOMS – One Day Without Shoes ’13 – Recap
This past Tuesday, you may have seen us marching around our block barefoot. A site to see, since we’re normally decked out with crazy kicks, but this was also done in spirit of TOMS – ONE DAY WITHOUT SHOES event!
As you know TOMS implements a “One For One” model, where for every pair of shoes purchased, TOMS donates a pair of footwear to a child in need. The One Day Without Shoes event was a way of spreading awareness as we saw what it was like to actually have to get around and endure the day without shoes. Living without shoes leaves people vulnerable to a variety of health risks, social privilege, and issues with self-esteem and education. Our mission was to “leave our footprint” in town by making our noise and discussing and demonstrating the cause!
Thanks to Nicole and everyone else for coming down to join us! Visit here for more info on TOMS – One Day Without Shoes.

No commentsLamour Supreme and Buff Monster “Number of the Beast” at The Cotton Candy Machine!
Our neighborhood and worldwide superhero, L’amour Supreme has been supporting us through the years, working with us on a variety of projects, and basically taking over the world. You know this by now.
Of his recent feats was a special duel show featuring L’amour Supreme and the infamous Buff Monster entitled, “Number of the Beast”, at Brooklyn’s Cotton Candy Machine! We were on hand like little groupies last Friday for opening night to check the work, buy some fun things, give high 5′s, and take pictures with L’amour and his mask.
The wall they did together, as you can see below, was the highlight of the show, but we also spent a significant time marveling over the “Metal Misfits” – Garbage Pail Kids inspired work they did. If you didn’t go and get a sticker pack, I will rub it in your face that I got several, but you can still head to the Cotton Candy Machine website to pick up other goodies they have for sale! If you’re in town, just check it out for yourself, the shop is stocked with all sorts of wonderful things, and we can’t say enough about our love for L’amour Supreme & Buff Monster’s incredible work!
“Number of the Beast” featuring L’amour Supreme & Buff Monster will be at the Cotton Candy Machine from 4/12 – 5/5.

No commentsWhite Gold Tarantula Spring 2013 Lookbook Photos
Announcing new brands is always exciting…but to bring a new brand in from an old friend is especially dope. If you are an OG customer, you may remember Villainy (VLNY), a brand we carried back in our beginning. You may have also received one of the pins we had in a mason jar on our front counter a month ago hinting at this. From the creators of Villainy we bring you: White Gold Tarantula!!
Chances are, you have seen one of us rockin’ some of their gear over the past year, but we now will have it in stock for y’all to pick up. Inspired by a line from the Wu-Tang Clan’s resident chef, White Gold is based on presenting street-inspired themes with a classic aesthetic to bring you something different. Modelling the gear in their lookbook is Juno-Nominated MC JD Era, who just got signed to Raekwon’s label ICE H20, making him that much more suitable for this shoot.
Stop by Saturday April 20th to join us for the welcoming of the brand, and to see why we’re so stoked on what they’re offering. We’ll also be serving sliders from their good friends at Bacoburger, so make sure to RSVP to the event and be the first to flex the White Gold Tarantula!

No commentsOne Day Without Shoes 2013: Tuesday April 16th
We here at the shop always look to align ourselves with brands that stand for things we can agree with. TOMS exemplifies this; from their upstanding message to their greater purpose as a brand, we feel that what they’re doing is great for the international community. For those of you who may still be unaware as to what they do for those less fortunate, here‘s a post from a little while ago with an informative video.
Tuesday April 16th is this years’ date for ODWS. For people within our community, shoes play an essential role in our outfits and everyday life. We here at the shop have decided to take on the challenge, and we invite all of you to join us in a walk around the area without shoes to try and spread the message of TOMS and experience, even if only briefly, life without shoes.
We’ll all meet around 7pm here at the shop, so stop by a little before then and join us for a good cause. RSVP to the Facebook event page here.

No commentsEaster Egg Hunt Release!
I spammed our timeline earlier with hints and feedback from what was a marvelous day. The hints were pretty subtle, but basically we had been planning all week to ramp up the Easter festivities here at Extra Butter. The Nike releases we have coming out tomorrow allowed us to do just that!
For the high in demand “White Out” Nike Air Foamposite One’s, and the “Easter” additions for both Lebron James and Kevin Durant signature Nike shoes, we set up a fun Easter Egg hunt around our block. On either side of the road where our shop resides, we had hid little Easter eggs that contained bracelets that could earned you the right to reserve one of the aforementioned pairs.
This was one of the most fun releases we ever had, and we thank everyone who participated, and all the love we got on our twitter and instagram! Glad we can put our personality into our efforts and have it be received with your warmth!
*Some Easter eggs may have been a bit too hard to find, which means there are a few sizes of the Lebron X Low and the KD V still available. Those men’s pairs along with both pairs in kids sizes will be available tomorrow – first come, first serve!*
**All of the Nike Air Foamposite “White Out” have been claimed and are SOLD OUT!!**

No commentsColor Creature LIVE at the Post-Apocalypse Acoustic Show!
Another video? We might as well right…we’re stretching these out as we continue to rejoice the amazing night this was. But getting to it, since then, my love for this band has grown tremendously. I didn’t want to come off as a homer, as this is another project that features our superstar – TK on guitar, but I’ve already been won over by the group’s first release – “Kissing Daisies” by Kira Metcalf. The formation of Color Creature is an exciting thing as they continue to work on new music (3 demo tracks that can be heard and downloaded here) and play shows like the one featured in the video below, and an awesome show they have this Thursday 2/28 at Ollie’s Point opening up for Vacationer!!
With many tracks of theirs already dear to me, the first one that got me was the one in the video below – “An Epidemic”. Give it a spin below and head to the links in the text above to learn about this talented band that I think will be making a lot of good noise in the near future!
