Chat Noir - Rockville Centre

October 09th, 2009 | Category: Things to do in RVC

A few weeks ago we had a little business breakfast at one of RVC’s newer spots - CHAT NOIR.

The Patisserie/Tea House has become one of our favorite places to chow down on breakfast delights like the “Toad in the Hole” (egg in brioche) or “Orange French Toast” (with orange BUTTER). There’s also an assortment of teas that change up daily, consisting of the classics, oolong, and various fruit flavor highlights.

With French horror film “Them” (”ils” in french) first in line for this month’s movie nights, we decided to bring in a delectable assortment of their tasty croissants and scones on hand for the evening…first come, first serve, so don’t be late!

A successful evening of Epicureanism! The Bento Bash was an absolute hit! The collaboration between all parties involved (Taiko, Lan Labs, Milk & Honey) speaks volumes for what Rockville Centre has to offer as a destination spot for all of life’s indulgences…especially food, entertainment, technology and lifestyle.

As guests waited for a table, Cinematic held it down with a Japanese-inspired DJ set which was a flawless auditory addition to the overall ambience.

Spooky House - Things to do in RVC

October 26th, 2008 | Category: Things to do in RVC

After watching “High Tension” Friday Night we decided to continue the magic and visit our favorite house in Rockville Centre. Located on the North side of N. Forest Ave. (at Lakeview Ave.) about 3 houses down on the leftside is this insane house that I have no idea how the neighbors stomach seeing every year. Feel free to hit us up for more info on how to get to the house.
We’ll be celebrating the Halloween spirit all week, so stay tuned and be sure to stop by for… muahaha!!

More DAIRY for you!!

September 07th, 2008 | Category: Things to do in RVC

One thing I hear a lot of people say about Long Island is that there’s not much to do. While I definitely think that might be true about some places on the island, it’s certainly not the case here in Rockville Centre. Oh and just so you know - we’re located in a village area with a ton of restaurants, bars, shops, and only a stones throw away(2 blocks) from the train station.

In the category section in the sidebar to your right you’ll notice a new category - “Things to do in RVC”, which will feature other worthy places to visit and things to do while you’re out here. More and more people have been making the trip these days, and instead of handling business-getting back on the train or jumping back into their car, they’re finding it beneficial (economical too) to make a day out of their Butter visit and check the other spots in or around RVC.

We’ve made mention of some of our favorite eateries around town and you’ll definitely see much more of that, but we’re going to start of with one of our, and our customers, personal favorites - Milk & Honey, a fresh new women’s boutique.

I will let the decor and constantly rotating product do most of the talking, but next time you visit us, be sure to pay them a visit. They’re an 8 second bike ride away from us haha…

The jukebox is incredible, and don’t be surprised if you hear Christina bumping U.M.C.’s and other throwback gems from her iPOD. And I’m waiting for someone amazing to buy the Pisces necklace above.

Sexy chandeliers, bird rings I’m oddly enamored by, and the hot buffalo-check dress below that’s reminiscent of the button-up shirt from 10 Deep that flew out with the quickness.
