For anyone whose been to the shop lately, it can get overwhelming trying to decide from the bombarding selection that Nike is providing for its classic runners.  With these new five AM1 releases, it won’t get any easier…

First up are Air Max 1 Essentials- available in classic White/Medium Grey/Volt and Total Crimson/Sail/Squadron Blue, both perfect colorways for daily wear throughout Spring and Summer.

A new Air Max 1 Premium follows up the turquoise denim AM1 PRM from our last Nike haul.  Black denim provides for a lifestyle approach to the runner silhouette, making it easy to match with anything, and just the right amount of bright cyber yellow for unique pop.

Next is the Air Max 1 OG.  When you talk about timeless and classic design, this is as OG as you can get.  Part of the OG Pack of Air Maxes that already dropped a few weeks back, but hey- better late than never.  If you’re a sportswear guy, these are a must-have in the arsenal.  Do not sleep and regret later.

Alas, the coup de grace.  Everyone has been waiting for the Air Max 1 FB “Yeezy,”  and after some shipping delay that effected many retailers, they’re finally here.  No need to get into the specs, nor telling you these will fly out.  Act fast.

A product of Nike’s Advanced Project Engineering group in the ’90s, the footscape was, and still remains, one of the most unique-looking shoes available on the market.  Based on orthopedic designs, the Footscape was meant to take comfort and simplicity to a new level in running shoes.

The side-lacing still catches many off-guard, even today in a market where there seems to be no boundaries.  Regardless, this model has stood the test of time and rightfully so.  The Poison Green and Mid Fog combination go great, especially with the woven hits we’ve seen a lot of this past year.

Two color ways of the Air Jordan SC-1 have just arrived at the shop, a black and wolf grey color way and a New York Knicks inspired white, team orange and royal blue pair. Two great colorways for someone going to a more reserved look , or someone going for a brighter outfit with the white patent leather pair. Both feature a rad speckled sole and good use of contrasting materials. And although I’m a Knicks fan and love the blues and oranges synonymous with New York sports teams, I have to say, the black and wolf grey pair is looking pretty good as well.

I often find myself envious about a lot of women’s runners, and these are a perfect example why!  The Freerun 2 EXT is a great silhouette and this Total Crimson color way works great with the textured black leather hits on the upper.
Freerun’s are a personal favorite of mine and they’re a great example of a unisex sneaker that translates in both masculine and feminine colorways, plus runners have really exploded lately and with shoes as buttery as these, it’s easy to see why.

Back by popular demand, we have received some more great Bantu Beads from our homies over at Cmarty MAr & CO. With the summer around the corner, I’m sure we’re all dying to get to the beach, lounge out and enjoy some relaxation, and of course when anyone thinks of beautiful weather, hot sun, and warm sand, they immediately think about the Brazilian beaches. That being said, these “Beaches of Rio” Air Max 95′s grab a bunch of inspiration from these world renowned beaches. Very noticeable in the vibrant and tropical colors on the EM upper and tongue, these 95′s are a collection of the colorful beaches/wild life and the clothing of the Brazilian natives the Carioca. And not to mention that everything looks better with a speckled sole, so you really can’t go wrong with this pair!

Lifestyle Jordans always do a great job of blending the casual sensibility with the aesthetics of Jordan releases we’ve all come to love over the years.  These Court ACs feature many aspects of a favorite, the Jordan 3, in a new form that you can wear on the court and off without a problem.

One of the 3s most prominent features, the elephant print, makes an appearance here, but the stitching pattern is also reminiscent of the popular model.  Similar to the V.1s, these are sure to make their way out of the shop so don’t miss out on a great casual pair.

When I was younger, summer meant getting Ice Cream with my family and friends.  Now that I’m older, the first thing I think of when summer comes around is breaking out a pair of Vans.  This summer’s choice for me was the Acid Wash Eras.  When these kids Vans came into the shop shortly after, I had to pick the little man up a pair and take him out for Ice Cream at the best local spot in town, Five Pennies Creamery.

Surrounded by corporate competition, Five Pennies stands strong, serving up delicious custard, ice cream, italian ices, and ice cream cakes, most of which is home-made.  E.G. and I swung by to try some of their flavors after a day of running around outside in our new Vans.  Watching my summers come full circle is dope, and seeing the little dude run around roaring like a dinosaur is always a plus.

It appears as if the latest CP3 VI’s to arrive re-tell the popular tale of the split personality enigma of “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde”, a story that fans of last year’s CP3 V should already be familiar with.

The “Jekyll & Hyde” story points to CP3′s dual personalities in a different way than the classic tale. Chris Paul is known for being jovial, and a gentlemen off the court, while his on court reputation speaks of a more aggressive and menacing athlete will an incredible appetite for winning.

While each pair uniquely contrasts the other, even within each pair you can see differences in the medial side and the lateral side of the shoe. Really playing into the “split personality” story, the aesthetic differences are shown in the shoe’s color blocking, and even the placement of speckle or pattern print on either the shoe’s outsole or the interior collar lining.

In a time when many classic shoes are getting a more modern, updated look to fit the ever changing times of athletic performance and technology, the Air Max 360 Diamond Griffey is no exception. Taking cues from his 4th signature shoe the Total Air Griffey Max, represented by the “waves” or “fins” found on the side, this model comes geared with a 360 air unit for that great overall comfort and support needed for those days going that extra mile in training, to just the everyday casual wear. The flywire found on the upper removes the excess bulk that was usually found on trainers of that era but still adds the strength needed to maintain stability and comfort during strenuous exercises.

The Air Max 360 Diamond Griffey releases Saturday, May 11th.
