Nike SB x Staple Dunk Low "Panda" Pigeon

Nike SB x Staple Dunk Low "Panda" Pigeon

Rewind back to the end of 2017, Extra Butter’s creative director, Jeffstaple, had just released the Nike SB Dunk Low Black Pigeon. Shortly after, jeff takes to social media to share rejected samples of said Dunk SB, one in particular sparking an uproar and curiosity. Taken back with the overwhelming response, Nike SB and Staple have found themselves unexpectedly joining forces again to meet the demand of the internet. Fast forward to present time, and Nike SB and Jeffstaple are poised to launch the third iteration of the Nike SB Dunk Low Pigeon. A direct response to early blog speculations, the shoe takes on a Panda color-way, referencing Jeff’s Chinese heritage and becoming an unofficial mascot counterpart to the famous NYC Pigeon icon.

Other than the apparent black and white color blocking, it’s the details that really tell the Panda story. Bamboo inspired green accents and graphics make its way throughout subtle touches of the design, while the iconic and consistent pigeon embroidery appears on the heel. Two more notable alternations are the standard 'SAMPLE' interior label modified to read 'STAPLE' as well as a translucent outsole showcasing the newspaper headline that covered the infamous 2005 riot from the original Pigeon release.

Extra Butter will be releasing random pairs in special custom-made wooden boxes, as well as Nike SB x Staple apparel in exclusive bamboo green color-ways.

The Nike SB Dunk Low Panda Pigeon and exclusive apparel are releasing January 25th.
