Presenting the Extra Butter x Adidas Consortium “Cableknit” SC Premiere. Using heritage sports as the foundational aesthetic, the first cable knit Primeknit™ was developed as the focal material story for the upper. The silhouette is streamlined by removing the window from the medial that is usually seen on the original SC Premieres, while the full grain leather toe vamp and mudguard provide a premium finish.
The overall design is elevated through the attention to the remaining details. Navy and scarlet colors are articulated through the jacquard heel stripe, woven media label, and tongue print. The classic “Brand With the 3 Stripe” branding is added to the medial in metallic gold as a nod to classic Adidas of former years which feature the same design element. Extra Butter debuts a new logo to its branding DNA on the heel collar, accompanied with upgraded tongue grommets and lace aglets for additional metallic gold accents.
Extra Butter carries the same material and design story over to classic Adilette Slides, replacing the standard molded strap for cable knit Primeknit™ and jacquard striping. The slides also feature woven labeling and debossed co-branding on the heels.
The sport prep look is complimented by a vintage style deconstructed cap with low crown profile and wool fabrication. Features include a raw-edge felt patch with the Extra Butter Sporting Club logo, along with leather strapback and antique brass clasp.
The Extra Butter x Adidas Consortium “Cableknit” Capsule will release exclusively at extrabutterny.com on Tuesday, April 21st, 2020 at 11am EST. A limited run of authentic cricket balls, featuring an “Extra Butter Sporting Club” graphic specifically designed for this capsule, will be provided with purchases while supplies last.
