Luxury brand Marni, established by Consuelo Castiglioni in 1994, distinguished itself in the fashion world by infusing contemporary classics with a charming bohemian twist. This was achieved through retro color palettes and a playful use of opulent fabrics and furs. In 2016, the label experienced a creative shift under the leadership of Central Saint-Martins graduate and creative director Francesco Risso. Risso revitalized Marni's distinctive aesthetic with a rebellious and non-conformist spirit. Drawing inspiration from diverse sources like the Dada art movement, childhood memories, and Japanese deconstructionists, Risso expanded the sartorial language of the Italian women's fashion label. Marni's men's collection effortlessly blends elements of tradition, featuring pleated trousers and essential knitwear, while staying true to the founder's whimsical vision with unconventional graphic tees and vibrant patchwork designs.
