New York has become the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak, completely halting our way of life and creating major challenges for healthcare and medical professionals. Elmhurst and Flushing hospitals in Queens seem to be under some of the most stress with the influx of patients flooding in from the diverse surrounding neighborhoods.
Much of Extra Butter’s friends and family, both personal and professional, have close ties to these particular neighborhoods. This hits close to home and we’re taking action to come to the aid of some of New York’s skilled medical workers.
The Extra Butter “New York Forever” Tee reminds us of this city’s resilience in a crisis like this. 100% of all proceeds from the sale of these tees will be donated to @helpqueensnow. Just formed last week as a response to help the front line healthcare staff and patients in desperate need of PPE and supplies.
A grassroot project started by family and friends for first responders like Dr Mit Shah of Flushing Hospital and other medical professionals on the frontlines of the Covid-19 pandemic. We are raising money to protect and equip the Doctors, Nurses and staff at the Queens Healthcare facilities in New York. The hospitals are facing severe shortages of N95 masks along with other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) due to the overwhelming amount of Covid-19 patients.
All medical staff in these hospitals need supplies NOW, to protect themselves while saving lives. Let's help those on the front-lines in Queens Healthcare facilities stay protected to fight Covid-19!
Raised funds will facilitate any immediate needs for medical staff, patients, their families and caregivers at Flushing Hospital, Jamaica Hospital and Elmhurst Hospital.
