Hamilton Carhartt, a native New Yorker founded Carhartt in 1889 focusing primarily on cotton duck fabric overalls as well as military and workwear uniforms. A hundred years later, Edwin Faeh started introducing the European market to American produced product under "All American Concept." which then lead to the official establishment of WIP (Work in Progress), a European exclusive distributor of Carhartt. Fast forward years later, the brand has progressed into one of the most globally respected streetwear lines with their men's, women's and heritage collections as well as collaborations with brands such as Nike, Converse, Sophnet, A.P.C. and more.
