Economy Candy started as a shoe and hat repair shop that featured a small candy push cart outside the storefront. During the Great Depression, the lower price point of candy brought in more sales, and by 1937 was officially turned into Economy Candy. Now in its third generation of family owned business, Mitch Cohen and his wife, Skye, look to continue the heritage of serving one of the world’s largest assortment of candies, chocolates, nuts, gummies, vintage trading cards, memorabilia and more. The hard-to-find brands and out of print packaging immediately strike a nostalgic chord in the hearts of local residents and daily tourists alike, bringing every visitor back to a whimsical state of childlike wonder.
