Undercover

In 1990, Takahashi established the company while still a student at Tokyo's Bunka Academy of Fashion. Undercover by Jun Takahashi is the epitome of Japanese cool, blending dramatic high-concept beauty and raw-edged defiance to create an original vision that fascinates in its dualities. His early punk-influenced work was carried by this irreverence, and Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons rapidly supported and mentored it.

Undercover, whose tagline is "We Make Noise Not Clothes," blurs the lines between high and low, avant-garde and practical, and macabre and beautiful by utilizing an unexpected combination of materials, colors, and cuts.
