Made in Italy GV Special

Last Fall, Extra Butter and a small handful of global boutique partners joined Puma for an intimate getaway to the rustic city of Ostuni in Southern Italy. Amongst the flowing bottles of wine and countless conversations were lessons of pasta making, taste testing regional olive oils and an up close and personal tour of one of Puma’s Italian handmade footwear production houses. Out from this once in a lifetime experience came the super limited, Made in Italy Extra Butter x Puma GV Special, specially designed and crafted from the very factory we visited.

The “Get Money” color theme speaks to the aspiration of enjoying the finer things in life- a call back to @bamitsbernie’s inspirational getaway with Puma to rustic Southern Italy, accompanied by a rare visit to one of its Italian handmade production houses saved for only the top crafted footwear stories.

A super limited run of 24 pairs were produced as a Friend & Family release. Select pairs were only available via raffle exclusively for Extra Butter Gold Members.

Extra Butter elevates this 1983 court classic with soft, premium Italian leather uppers and pig suede, asymmetrical color blocked form stripes, and leather collar lining. Details include a specially “GV Extra Butter'' embossing, EB logo on the heel and a dollar bill inspired graphic insole. The GV Special has returned with new tooling- equipped with a wider vamp and forefoot, and improved PU foam rubber for a comfortable wear. All meticulously crafted and hand assembled in Puglia, Italy.

To celebrate the unveiling of the Extra Butter x Puma GV Special Made in Italy “Get Money,” we hosted a Thursday Lowdown launch event where we made it rain. Attendees had the exclusive chance to enter our live raffle that night, and one lucky winner walked away with one of the only 24 pairs available.
